Vicky Russ is a leadership coach, consultant, and former CEO with over 20 years of experience across the public sector, including health, education, local government, and the charity sector. She specialises in leadership development, organisational transformation, and supporting leaders through complex change, including redundancy, restructuring, and career transitions.

Vicky has led large-scale transformation programmes and worked at a senior executive level, giving her a deep understanding of the pressures leaders face in high-stakes environments. She now works with public sector leaders, senior managers, and professionals to help them navigate uncertainty, maintain performance, and lead with clarity, confidence, and compassion.

As a teacher of Positive Psychology Leadership, Vicky integrates evidence-based approaches with practical leadership experience. Her work focuses on building psychologically safe, high-performing cultures, strengthening resilience, and enabling leaders to support their teams effectively during periods of change.

Vicky is the founder of VR Leadership Coaching Ltd and creator of Coaching Pods and programmes including Redundancy Roadmap, Redundancy Redirection, Redundancy Reinvented, and Retirement Reimagined. She is passionate about “protecting the protectors” and helping leaders move from burnout and uncertainty to balance, purpose, and sustainable success.

Through coaching, teaching, and writing, Vicky supports leaders to lead through life’s critical transitions and create meaningful, lasting impact.
