Patrick McNeil
Actor, Professional Wrestler, and Confidence Mentor
Patrick McNeil is a Canadian actor, professional wrestler, and confidence mentor from North Bay, Ontario. Born on August 18, 1989, to a hardworking mother and a military father, Patrick’s early life was shaped by discipline, resilience, and frequent relocations as his father was posted to different locations. Despite living in several places, his family eventually settled in North Bay, the city where his journey began. From a young age, Patrick was captivated by television, skateboarding, stunts and professional wrestling, passions that would later define his career. At around fifteen, he began experimenting with filmmaking, creating stunt and skateboarding videos alongside close friends. At age nineteen, he created "Dirt Squad," an hour-long stunt and skateboarding video, for which only nine copies were made. What started as creative fun soon became a calling. Encouraged by a friend who also pursued similar things, Patrick enrolled in the Television Broadcasting program at Canadore College, where he learned the fundamentals of storytelling through film while producing professional-quality shorts and sketches. He later expanded his skill set by completing an additional two-year program in Digital Cinematography at the same institution. While studying there, he created a 10-episode web series entitled "DSBTTV."
After college, Patrick received a life-changing call that launched his on-screen career: a recurring role on the hit television series Letterkenny, where he portrayed the character Connor of the group "The Skids" for nearly a decade. During this time, he also appeared in a handful of other television series and feature films, while continuing to work behind the camera as a grip and electrician, gaining a well-rounded understanding of the industry.
About four years into his acting career, Patrick turned inward, beginning a deep and ongoing commitment to mental health and personal development. Starting with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), he immersed himself in studying psychology, neuroplasticity, and self-mastery through books, group therapy, and one-on-one sessions with therapists or mentors. This journey became a cornerstone of his life, pursued relentlessly between film sets and productions. In 2022, after the devastating loss of one of his closest friends and former partner, Patrick sought a new outlet for healing and expression and finally stepped into a professional wrestling ring. Wrestling became both a physical and mental proving ground, reinforcing a message he now lives by: the mind can change. Through repetition, discipline, persistence, and belief in neuroplasticity, peace and confidence can be cultivated from within. He believes "We become what we think about most of the time."
In 2023, Patrick entered the online education and marketing space, exploring various programs but finding few that aligned with his values. In January 2025, he launched “The Confident Mental Head,” a brand and educational platform dedicated to helping people become more confident, grounded, and authentic in their own skin with his almost decade long knowledge of the subject. His programs and eBooks, created entirely by Patrick, focus on practical tools for building confidence and reshaping thought patterns.
Today, Patrick McNeil dedicates a significant portion of his time to helping others who are mentally struggling, all while continuing to pursue his creative passions. Whether he’s waiting to hear “Action!” on set or standing across from an opponent in the wrestling ring, Patrick remains committed to growth, resilience, and empowering others to master their minds.
