
Jenny Gaynor
Social Emotional Learning Coach and Founder
Jenny Gaynor is the author and founder of Calm Education, where she helps children, families, and teachers develop Social Emotional Learning (SEL) skills that build confidence, resilience, and emotional intelligence. A lifelong educator with over 20 years of classroom experience, Jenny has worked with diverse learners across Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and California.
Through Calm Education, she provides private and small-group SEL coaching, curriculum design, and mindful workshops for schools and families. She also facilitates professional development for educators and wellness workshops focused on mindfulness, self-regulation, and co-regulation techniques.
Jenny holds a B.A. in Elementary Education and English from the University of Rhode Island and a Master’s in Special Education from Rhode Island College. She is certified in Elementary Education (Grades 1–6) and Special Education (Grades K–12) and has extensive training in SEL methodologies, including Responsive Classroom, RULER, and Breathe for Change. Jenny also holds a 200-hour yoga teacher certification and has completed additional training in meditation and breathwork.
She lives in Barrington, Rhode Island, with her husband, Andrew, their two children, Jack and Ella, and their beloved therapy cat, Tiller.
