  • Brooke Reid, Founder of Freya’s Wish Dundee, Senior Level Executive Contributor at Brainz Magazine

Im Brooke Reid. Founder of Freya’s Wish. And this is my story. As some of you may know, me & my gorgeous daughter were in a freak accident in 2020. Like a flash of a light, a current dragged us both down a waterfall. I survived this but sadly our beautiful Angel grew her wings. Our hearts have stopped & will never be the same without our Freya but from now on our purpose is to keep her memory growing while helping low-income parents within Dundee create beautiful memories with their children and loved ones still here. Everyone who knew Freya can say that she lived life to the fullest. She was kind, caring & would do anything to be involved in things that helped created change. We were so blessed to have her in our lives. The one thing that's keeping us strong is our endless memories and love we had together. This is why I have worked endlessly to create this community Initiative. Memories are so important. I know from experience that they aren't always in financial reach, so I want to break down the barriers and see families create beautiful memories with their children and loved ones in memory of our Freya. Not only that, but everything else we have created since the beginning… At Freya's Wish our biggest goals are allowing dreams to become a reality while making memories and sharing love with the community. We are a place where we bring the beauty of Dundee culture and further together to create beautiful memories. We host monthly Thrift Day’s for all who need it to enjoy, where we set up our venue with all the things we have been donated, buy fresh food, cook hot food, have hot drinks and support the wider community with all the materialistic nonsense so money can be spent on more important things like memories. We are a creative platform for talented personalities of all ages and walks of life. We host weekly drop in’s, live music events, poetry gigs, Dance nights, Easter, Frey-stival, Halloween, etc. We are rentable for kid’s parties and special occasions. We are a platform for you to host your own events. We are a safe space for all to love and enjoy. We offer rehearsal space for artists and inspiring artists to get creative and have fun. Our community boutique is now officially open with the best of gear at affordable prices. Most of our events are donation-based value for money so no one feels left out due to financial reasons. As a team we will continue to come up with creative ways to raise money. However, we can’t do it alone and like everything in life everything has an expense even if all you do is give. Life is costly. Anything no matter how small all adds up and allows us to continue everything that we do. Thank you everyone for your support so far. • Liz Reddish, Kinesiology Professional, Trainer and Mentor , Executive Contributor at Brainz Magazine

Liz Reddish is the founder and owner of Devon Well House, the ‘home’ of holistic health expertise, TFH kinesiology training, mentoring, and her online community, the ‘Holistic Health Network.’ Based in the beautiful South West of England, Liz has built her brand to reflect her passion for supporting, empowering, and facilitating others in their journey to wellbeing. A highly qualified Functional Kinesiology Professional (CNHC, IKC & KF reg.), TFH Kinesiology Instructor and Mentor (IKC & KF reg.), and holistic health practitioner, Liz brings over 20 years of expertise and experience to her work. She knows firsthand what it takes to walk the path to wellness after a life-changing diagnosis of ME (Chronic Fatigue) in her early 20s. Now in great health, she provides a beacon of hope and inspiration to others, sharing her wisdom and knowledge through online and in-person treatment sessions, business mentoring opportunities, and her Touch For Health Kinesiology training and workshops. Her latest ‘passion project’ is her ‘Holistic Health Network,’ an online community for holistic health and wellbeing practitioners offering a safe and nurturing space for support, mentoring, connection, community, and accountability. Liz adopts the philosophy of self-care and personal development over diagnosis and treatment. It is her belief and understanding that symptoms are the body’s way of communicating and that by exploring what lies beneath these symptoms, we can unlock the true health potential of the body. This self-responsibility model ensures that the individual remains at the center of their treatment experience. Through the art of muscle monitoring and guided by the wisdom of traditional Chinese 5 Element theory, Liz is able to communicate directly with the energy system (meridians) of the body, detecting where the imbalances lie and what it needs to bring it back into balance so that it can heal. Liz draws from her extensive toolkit that includes chiropractic adjustments, massage, mindset and emotional coaching, nutritional balancing, trauma release, energetic techniques, and wellness practices. Liz radiates love and energy for her work and her commitment to optimizing the health and wellbeing of herself and others. She is definitely someone who ‘walks her talk’ and acknowledges and embraces the learning opportunities of each and every day. If you feel a connection to Liz’s energy and passion and would like her support to experience the transformative power of holistic healing, she would love to hear from you. If you would like to learn how to work with TFH Kinesiology to support yourself, friends, or family members, add this modality to your existing toolkit, or start a career as a kinesiologist, the training and workshops are for you. Equally, if connection, community, and professional and personal development are what you are after, then why not join Liz’s Holistic Health Network? Devon Well House is the ‘home’ to it all and is a safe space to nurture you ‘home’ to yourself. • Dave Sewell, Researcher, Facilitator and Executive Coach, Executive Contributor at Brainz Magazine

“Every child deserves a home where they feel safe and loved.” This is what drives Dave Sewell’s research and approach to executive education and facilitation. Sewell’s own life story has led him to question everything he understood about leadership, from the beatings and shame from his own father to the near-complete psychological breakdown at the hands of a ruthless Area Manager in his early twenties. The question burning inside him, “Why do people behave this way?” and “How do we change this?”. Sewell’s research built a deep understanding of human behavior and our need to feel physically and psychologically safe. None of us are at our best when we are under continued levels of stress beyond what we can comfortably cope with. It is when we are in this space that we are often not helpful to others, indeed we can be quite uncivil, causing us to be more aloof, more confrontational, and less tolerant of others. No one wants to be this person in the workplace or this type of parent when we get home, but it is all too common. Having published the learning of his research in his book Safe Leadership – beating stress to drive performance, Sewell is on a mission to make more workplaces psychologically safer so that every worker can go home with enough emotional and mental capacity to spend quality time with their family, creating that psychologically safe space in the home. He does this through a series of leadership workshops, a longitudinal program, and one on one executive coaching. I now successfully help people across the world gain new perspectives, healing, empowerment, and transformation by creatively combining spirituality and leadership to provide holistic services and coaching that go beyond the traditional. So when I’m asked how I got here, I won’t distort the truth and throw out a million success stories all with the aim to appease my ego and convince you I am somehow more special than you. It’s certainly been more subtle than ‘guru on top of the mountain’ vibes. In fact, it’s been a story of overcoming insecurity and deep vulnerability. For several years, as I advanced my career, I didn’t feel good enough. I certainly didn’t feel confident enough, and yet I found myself being spoken about in rooms that I hadn’t yet entered. I found myself in situations that I hadn’t conceived possible, and life far exceeded my own expectations time and again. Why? Because underneath the insecurities bad experiences had conditioned me to feel, and underneath the vulnerability of feeling as though I was ‘pretending’ to be the person I was outwardly projecting, there was a higher, unseen power at play. And it all stemmed from me quietly believing in more, and quietly believing in myself. I believed and felt that I was destined for something better, and I courageously believed I was actually enough to be all I dared to dream despite my insecurities and vulnerabilities. I actively chose every day to do more, and be more. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I realised the power of that simple ability to believe in more had orchestrated and manifested the continuation of my journey and my success. That realisation thrust me into the spiritual and metaphysical domain, where I experienced deep transformation that opened my eyes to a world of prosperity I’d once only seen in ‘fairytales’ or those ‘impossible to reach places.’ Midway through my corporate career, I found myself in a high-pressure situation. With zero experience in systems development, I was suddenly co-creating a bespoke system that had the potential to transform hundreds of people’s lives. The ripple effect of that was immense, and I certainly understood the gravity of it. So I jumped in feet first, and I fell multiple times, hoping no one would notice they’d clearly got the wrong person for the job, right? Three years later, we were rolling out this new, bespoke, universally unique system to our engineering teams across the UK, and I was at the forefront of it. I had become an integral, respected part of it—despite the fact I spent every day paddling underwater, ‘pretending’ I was good enough to be a part of this, let alone embody with confidence the integral part of it I had actually become. I was suddenly a subject matter expert, a trainer, coach, mentor, a specification writer, a presenter, an agile systems tester, project manager, leader of people—the list goes on. I developed and grew at lightning speed. This initiative had propelled me forward into a vast array of skills and expertise, and every day I was learning and getting better. And yet within, all I felt was stress and discomfort. It all just felt so taxing and demanding. I definitely reached layers of burnout throughout this experience because, although I believed, truthfully, in the shadows of my deep self, I was riddled with fear that everyone would uncover me as a fraud. I forgot every day to remind myself that I was doing it—and not only that, I was doing it incredibly well. You guessed it, I was deeply immersed in imposter syndrome. And for a time, it didn’t matter how often I was told I was doing it well, or how the results spoke for themselves. I simply didn’t feel successful, worthy, or indeed capable of the very thing I was achieving every day. To believe is one thing, to feel that belief is entirely another—and I cannot emphasise enough that the difference between those two beliefs is the key to abundant wellness and mental health. So this is where I can now authentically and proudly talk about my success. The above being the slightest insight into how and why I got here, yet enough for me to say now I feel successful within! I don’t just look successful. I don’t just act successful. I embody success, and I deeply feel successful—and that, for me, is the personification of absolute success. It’s worth more than any leadership award—yes, I have one catching dust somewhere. It’s worth more than any pay rise—yes, I achieved a 318% increase in less than a decade. It’s more than any job title—yes, I made my way up the traditional ladder. It’s worth everything, because now I know I can literally do anything. I exist beyond the range of limits, and life is far more spectacular than I could ever really put into words. Why? Because I understand the power of manifestation, and I healed all the parts of me that kept me small, so that I may take up my place in this world and live in deep alignment with the rhythm of the universe and all abundance. Not only that, I found out that being in alignment with the embodiment of success attracts more and greater success. So now I exist in a perpetual cycle of success, which is riches beyond any monetary value. And once you understand this rhythm, and understand this energy, you too can elevate and multiply your own success in the world and be far more than you ever dreamed possible. I am deeply motivated by my own journey because I learned a thousand lessons that hold immense value to others. You are the success story. You are the currency of all abundance. And you are so worthy, beautiful soul. • Ward Stanford, Nutrition & Wellness Coach, Executive Contributor at Brainz Magazine

Ward Stanford is not your average personal trainer and nutritionist. Reaching over 420 pounds in his twenties as a rising HR executive, he knew he had to make a change and somehow- he had to make it last. Now more than a dozen years later he can add powerlifter, amateur bodybuilder, hybrid athlete, and half marathoner to his accomplishments— not as a professional with a team and a recovery staff, but as a person who figured it out the same way most people do: through reading, experimenting, failing, and adjusting until the science and the lived experience finally agreed with each other. That background produces a kind of expertise that no certification alone can replicate — a deep, practical fluency in body recomposition, muscle building, fat loss, cardiovascular training, and long-term health that comes from having actually done all of it, at real-life scale, without favorable genetics, or professional infrastructure.   What separates Ward and Built Anyway Coaching from a smart trainer with a good program is the psychology. Ward holds a Master's degree in Organizational Psychology — the science of motivation, behavior change, and what actually makes people follow through. Combined with advanced knowledge of nutrition science, blood work and biomarker management, GLP-1 pharmacology, and evidence-based supplementation, the result is a coaching approach that treats the whole person rather than just the macros.   The complicated gets made simple. The science gets translated into daily life. And the psychology gets applied not as a motivational afterthought but as the foundation the entire program is built on — because knowing what to do and actually doing it are two completely different problems, and Ward has spent his career learning how to solve both. • Gabriel Azuola, Head of the House of Azuola, Executive Contributor at Brainz Magazine

Gabriel Azuola is a private consultant, political strategist, and entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in corporate law, labor law, and financial regulation. He is the founding partner of Cola Blanca Consulting, a boutique firm specializing in providing legal and strategic solutions for FinTech companies, both in Latin America and in global markets.   Throughout his career, he has developed solid expertise in the legal structuring of investments, capital raising, international operational design, mergers and acquisitions, and FinTech regulation. He has advised emerging companies, investment funds, and technology platforms in their expansion and consolidation efforts. During his tenure at OMNi Costa Rica—one of Latin America’s leading FinTech firms—he led the internal legal coordination and articulation with top-tier international law firms across multiple jurisdictions, heading interdisciplinary teams that helped secure over $150 million in funding.   His experience also extends into the public sphere, where he served as a consultant to the Senate of Mexico, contributing to legislative processes, public policy design, strategic communication, and the structuring of civic platforms. These roles gave him deep insight into political decision-making systems across Latin America.   Parallel to his professional work, Gabriel has maintained a steadfast commitment to education and social service. He is an active volunteer with the Educando Niños Foundation and has taught English in vulnerable communities such as Hogar Calasanz. His sense of purpose—rooted in faith and spiritual formation—has been a constant since his early education at the Methodist School of CostaRica, an institution that shaped his vision of holistic excellence based on the integration of mind, body, and soul.   His vocation for law and public life is intimately linked to his lineage. He is a sixth-generation direct descendant of Luis Eduardo Azuola, South American independence leader, brigadier general, and Vice President of Gran Colombia under Simón Bolívar. This heritage inspires not the pursuit of personal accolades, but the honoring of a legacy of liberty, justice, and civic responsibility. It equally carries the solemn continuity of stewardship, for he serves as the present head of the House of Azuola, custodian of its historical memory and bearer of its enduring duty to advance the principles and public virtues that defined its foundational generation. Through this role, he embraces responsibility not as inheritance, but as an ethical mandate to safeguard the dignity of the name he carries and to strengthen the lineage for those who will follow.
