Gabriel Azuola

Head of the House of Azuola

Gabriel Azuola is a private consultant, political strategist, and entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in corporate law, labor law, and financial regulation. He is the founding partner of Cola Blanca Consulting, a boutique firm specializing in providing legal and strategic solutions for FinTech companies, both in Latin America and in global markets.

Throughout his career, he has developed solid expertise in the legal structuring of investments, capital raising, international operational design, mergers and acquisitions, and FinTech regulation. He has advised emerging companies, investment funds, and technology platforms in their expansion and consolidation efforts. During his tenure at OMNi Costa Rica—one of Latin America’s leading FinTech firms—he led the internal legal coordination and articulation with top-tier international law firms across multiple jurisdictions, heading interdisciplinary teams that helped secure over $150 million in funding.

His experience also extends into the public sphere, where he served as a consultant to the Senate of Mexico, contributing to legislative processes, public policy design, strategic communication, and the structuring of civic platforms. These roles gave him deep insight into political decision-making systems across Latin America.

Parallel to his professional work, Gabriel has maintained a steadfast commitment to education and social service. He is an active volunteer with the Educando Niños Foundation and has taught English in vulnerable communities such as Hogar Calasanz. His sense of purpose—rooted in faith and spiritual formation—has been a constant since his early education at the Methodist School of CostaRica, an institution that shaped his vision of holistic excellence based on the integration of mind, body, and soul.

His vocation for law and public life is intimately linked to his lineage. He is a sixth-generation direct descendant of Luis Eduardo Azuola, South American independence leader, brigadier general, and Vice President of Gran Colombia under Simón Bolívar. This heritage inspires not the pursuit of personal accolades, but the honoring of a legacy of liberty, justice, and civic responsibility. It equally carries the solemn continuity of stewardship, for he serves as the present head of the House of Azuola, custodian of its historical memory and bearer of its enduring duty to advance the principles and public virtues that defined its foundational generation. Through this role, he embraces responsibility not as inheritance, but as an ethical mandate to safeguard the dignity of the name he carries and to strengthen the lineage for those who will follow.
