You’ve done the mindset work. You’ve hit the income goals. From the outside, it looks like you’re thriving. But underneath it all, something still feels off.

A phot of Sherisse in a sheer, white lace dress stands gracefully on a forest path, surrounded by tall trees and dappled sunlight.

You feel the tightness in your chest when you slow down. You hear the inner critic whispering when you try to rest. And there’s this quiet, nagging thought that won’t go away:

“Is this really it?”

The truth is, you can’t shift what you can’t see.

No amount of external success can override the internal blocks you haven’t yet brought into the light.

In my work as an Inner Power Activation Leader, I’ve supported countless brilliant, successful women who were unknowingly stuck in silent cycles and patterns, ones that kept repeating despite their best efforts to evolve. And it’s not because they weren’t smart enough, spiritual enough, or doing “the work.”

It’s because they were too close to their own blocks to recognize them. No matter how successful you are, you can’t see what you can’t see.

We are trying to fix what isn’t broken

Here’s the irony I see time and time again: high-achieving women are often stuck in a loop of constantly trying to fix themselves, chasing clarity, healing, and "breakthroughs" in a bid to fill a void.

But what if you’re not broken?

What if the real problem is that you’re trying to solve something that isn’t a problem at all?

This over-identification with problem-solving is a byproduct of the very drive that built your success.

You’ve likely been praised for your resilience, your resourcefulness, and your ability to make things happen.

And yes, that’s powerful, but it can also become a trap. And even more so, an addiction.

How can you fix something you can’t find?

Most of the time, the block you can’t see is an old pattern resurfacing a shadow of the past, trying to protect you from your next evolution.

Ironically, it tends to appear right before a huge breakthrough.

It’s not a failure. It’s a sign.

A death and rebirth moment is imminent, whether that’s in your ability to receive more, your self-concept, or your capacity to lead from deeper integrity.

Remember: the caterpillar doesn’t know it’s becoming a butterfly.

It only feels trapped. Stuck. It turns to goo before its wings are strong enough to break free.

You are about to spread your wings.

But only if you dare to let go of the comfort of your cocoon.

Why can’t we see our own blocks

Conditioning runs deep.

We inherit beliefs from family, society, and culture that become invisible frameworks we live by.

We identify with our survival patterns. Overworking, over-giving, performing they feel familiar. But they’re often rooted in an outdated identity that’s no longer aligned with who we’re becoming.

The human brain is wired to protect us. It will hide or normalise emotional wounds to keep us functioning.

We feel safe in what’s familiar, so if you’ve experienced adversity in your life, your subconscious mind may try to recreate that chaos to feel “safe.”

“You can’t feel freedom while still clinging on to the cage.”

What these hidden blocks often look like

Even the most empowered women hit these invisible walls:

  • You say yes when you mean no, then feel resentful or depleted.

  • You hit milestones but still feel like something is missing.

  • You avoid slowing down because being still feels unsafe.

  • You seek external validation, even though you “know better.”

  • You have random aches and pains that you keep pushing through.

  • You feel more tired than usual and disconnected from tasks that used to light you up. These aren’t random flaws.

They’re signs that the old self is ready to be released.

How to start seeing what you can’t yet see

1. Invite radical honesty

Ask: Where am I pretending I’m okay when I’m not?

That one question can begin the unraveling of an old illusion.

2. Find the right mirror

Healing happens in a relationship.

You need someone who can reflect your truth back to you with love and compassion, not judgment. This is where a great coach, mentor, or therapist can come in.

3. Tune into your inner child

That wounded part of you holds the root.

She’s not weak, she’s craving more creativity and play. Start listening.

4. Notice the pattern behind the problem

What are you really afraid will happen if you slow down, speak up, or receive more? Are you afraid of being seen? Or of receiving judgment from others?

That’s the edge where your evolution lives.

Sherisse Bisram, Inner Power Activation Leader + Intuitive Healer

Sherisse is the embodiment of everything she stands for: authentic strength, loyalty, and empowerment. Although, the journey to get there did not come easy. Growing up in a volatile household and as a woman of colour in a predominantly white area added understandable hardships, and like all young women, Sherisse faced unwanted attention. In addition, she was undermined by society for being outspoken in her opinion rather than playing to the expected norm of being “seen and not heard.” Understandably, she was forced to build resilience, and as a result, at 23, she noticed that she had difficulty showing vulnerability and emotions. Sherisse realised that this was not a healthy way to live, and with this in mind, she decided to embark upon her own journey of self-discovery.

Combining her self-evolution, education, and life experiences, Sherisse has gained tools that have helped her to release the pain of her past, understand and conceptualise her emotions, and regain true, authentic strength. These tools, which consist of meditation and mindset work, journaling, and mindful movement, have shaped her into the empowered, confident woman she is today. These practices have had a tremendous impact on her life. Sherisse believes that sharing these tools with others, with the incorporation of dance through her workshops, classes, and programs, will, in turn, help whomever she teaches become the healthiest, happiest, and most confident versions of themselves.
