Alyssa Martyn is a leader in voice empowerment work for women. After a career as a professional actress, Alyssa found purpose in helping leading women and female entrepreneurs harness the power of their voices and create their best lives and businesses. Upon stepping into leadership, she soon realized childhood trauma had silenced parts of her voice that were required for building an impactful business, so she began to focus on the throat chakra, discovering groundbreaking work. She is the Founder of Voice of Her, providing online courses that support and empower women to own their voice and full expression so they can build their best lives, make an impact, and hold their true feminine frequency. Her motto: As we speak, so we create.

Alyssa Martyn, Voice, Feminine Leadership & Business Coach

Introduce yourself! Please tell us about you and your life, so we can get to know you better.

I’m Alyssa Martyn, a global coach, educator, and speaker who is passionate about personal development, feminine empowerment, and conscious living. I’m fully inked, love sustainable fashion, and habitually dance in the kitchen while cooking! I love dogs, nature, travel, singing, learning, yogic medicine, and music. I’ve lived in over 35 countries and currently reside in the picturesque Cotswolds, UK, but my heart belongs wherever the sun is. My favorite spots are Bali and Portugal so I’m grateful to have an online business that enables me to work from anywhere while making an impact.

What inspired you to create Voice of Her, and what is the primary mission of your website?

Early in my coaching career, I noticed a recurring theme among my female clients – a wound I too had experienced as I was stepping into leadership and growing my business. After huge transformations, my clients were called to share their voices but feared speaking up and expressing themselves publicly.

Recognizing this common barrier in conjunction with my skill set as an ex-professional actress and singer turned thought-leading entrepreneur, I created Voice of Her.

Voice of Her provides education and experiences where women can reach their full potential by unlocking their voice in business, love, and life and owning it. We provide a platform for women to clarify their message, share their voices, profit from their passions, improve communication, leverage their stories, and achieve the success they deserve. Voice of Her is all about embracing your uniqueness, and authenticity, being brave in your feminine energy, and calling in your best life.

How do you engage with your audience, and what strategies do you use to build and maintain a community around Voice of Her?

I primarily engage with my audience through Instagram, sharing free content to support my community. I also speak on aligned podcasts and collaborate with other female entrepreneurs and businesses whose communities benefit from the work I offer. Additionally, I value the power of in-person networking – it's how I started and remains incredibly impactful.

What are your future goals for Voice of Her, and how do you plan to expand or evolve the platform in the coming years?

Looking ahead, I plan to launch the Voice of Her Podcast, host empowerment retreats worldwide, and create more containers for many more women (tens of thousands) to discover their true potential in business, love, and life.

Tell us about your greatest career achievement so far.

My greatest achievements are reflected in the transformative results my clients achieve. A standout moment was my first launch after opening Voice of Her. Despite having less than 800 ideal client followers on my main marketing platform, it resulted in an 11k launch – a testament to the power of authenticity and connection.

If you could change one thing about your industry, what would it be and why?

I would encourage more women to use their unique voices without censoring themselves because the world needs them. Whether online or in person, leaders can get stuck in their heads when it comes to sharing their gifts with the world. Women can often fear how they will be received and fall into the trap of ‘behaving’ but people crave authenticity. This is exactly why I do my work – to help women step into their full, unapologetic expression.

Tell us about a pivotal moment in your life that brought you to where you are today.

As a young girl, I was bullied by other girls for shining on stage in performing arts. This traumatic experience silenced me, and I became known as "the quiet girl." On the last day of school, after years of hiding, I led the final assembly with a solo performance of Joss Stone’s "Right to be Wrong." That moment felt like a bold declaration to those who tried to dim my light. It gave me the courage to own my voice and the young woman I was becoming, teaching me to fearlessly express my gifts and share my voice with the world no matter what.
