Jeanette Lira is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, entrepreneur, speaker, podcast host, and mental health disruptor based in San Antonio, Texas. As the founder of Lumvia and Auravia Therapy, Jeanette empowers clinicians and clients alike through identity development, healing frameworks, and ethical business systems. She’s also the host of the podcast Untamed & Unapologetic, where she interviews bold entrepreneurs and changemakers who’ve walked through the fire, rebuilt their lives, and redefined what success looks like.

Jeanette’s work was born out of deep personal grief, and she went on to grow a seven-figure mental health business within three years. She now mentors other professionals to do the same with soul, structure, and strength. Currently, she is working on a book that explores how we connect the pieces of our lives after loss, trauma, or major transitions to rebuild a life that truly serves who we are now. Jeanette is a proud Latina, a single mom, a spiritual leader, and a voice for truth in both therapy and business.

Please tell us more about you.

I’m Jeanette Lira, and I wear many hats: therapist, mentor, speaker, podcast host, businesswoman, and mom. But at my core, I’m a guide for those who are ready to reconnect with their truth and rebuild from the inside out. Whether someone’s navigating trauma, building a business, or starting over after a life-altering moment, I’m here to help them find their fire and use it to create something powerful.

Tell us about a pivotal moment in your life that brought you to where you are today.

Losing my brother in 2013 was the moment everything changed. I experienced grief that cracked me wide open, but also gave birth to my purpose. From that heartbreak, I created Auravia Therapy to make sure no one had to walk their darkest season alone. That loss taught me how to lead with both heart and strategy.

What’s your purpose, mission, and driving force for all the work you do?

My mission is to help people rewrite the identities that no longer serve them and step into ones that reflect their strength and truth. I do that through therapy, business mentorship, and storytelling, whether on a stage, in my book, or on the podcast. I believe we’re all given pieces of life that don’t always make sense at first. My work is about helping people make meaning out of those pieces and build a life that’s aligned with who they are today.

What’s your motto?

Burn the blueprint. Rebuild as your true self.

What is your business name and how do you help your clients?

I run Auravia Therapy, a group practice focused on mental and emotional healing, and Lumvia, a company that helps clinicians and entrepreneurs build sustainable, ethical, and soul-led businesses through credentialing, billing, identity coaching, and systems support. I also host the Untamed & Unapologetic podcast and speak publicly about resilience, reinvention, and identity.

What inspired you to create your businesses?

Auravia was born from personal loss, and Lumvia was born from professional frustration. I was tired of seeing incredible clinicians and leaders get lost in burnout, bureaucracy, and broken systems. I built both businesses to create change internally for individuals and externally in the industry.

What sets your company apart from others in the industry?

We don’t just solve problems, we help people evolve. From therapy sessions to credentialing support to podcast interviews, everything I do is about transformation and authenticity. We don’t believe in gatekeeping or surface-level solutions. Our clients don’t just get services, they get strategy, support, and soul.

What kind of audience do you target your business towards?

I work with three main groups:

  1. Clients navigating life transitions, grief, trauma, or identity shifts

  2. Mental health and wellness professionals trying to build or scale their businesses

  3. Entrepreneurs and creatives who are rebuilding after setbacks and want to do it differently this time

If you could change one thing about your industry, what would it be and why?

I would change how mental health providers are treated in insurance-based systems. Therapists deserve to be paid fairly for the life-changing work they do. I’m actively working to educate professionals on how to navigate and challenge these systems, and I advocate for more equity and transparency in how we’re reimbursed and supported.

For readers inspired by this conversation and eager to start their journey, what first steps would you recommend?

Begin where it feels uncomfortable, because that’s where the truth lives. Pay attention to the parts of your life that feel broken, heavy, or out of alignment, and ask yourself: What story am I still living that no longer fits who I am? Then, gently begin the work of rewriting it. But know that rewriting your story takes time, intention, and support. You weren’t meant to do it alone. Healing, growth, and success require radical honesty and the courage to build something that reflects your truth, not just your survival.
