In this article, I share how manifesting practices played a pivotal role in transforming my life. From breaking free of negative cycles to embracing intentional actions, I reveal six powerful ways manifesting helped me create the life I always dreamed of. If you're ready to learn how to take control of your destiny, this journey of personal growth and transformation is for you.

More than just wishful thinking, here’s what happened:
I grew up in a school where drugs, violence, and wannabe gang members walking the halls were the norm. By grade 8, I was surrounded by negative influences that shaped my youth, full of bad friendships, toxic relationships, substance abuse, and missed opportunities. For years, darkness felt normal, and I stayed in an abusive relationship for way too long, blinded by young love. I am not proud of who I was then, but I understand the reasons I was a broken young girl, making the choices I did. Not all of us are born into healthy environments where love and relationships are modeled to us. Some of us have to teach ourselves healthy communication and relationships, and that's just one of the things manifesting did for me. It not only gave me hope, but also taught me that there are good things waiting for me, and I don’t have to accept darkness or the people who choose to live there any longer.
I was around 24 when everything began shifting for me. I got an opportunity that finally gave me the hope I so badly needed to create a better life. I quickly left my old habits and toxic people behind, embracing yoga, meditation, and self-development instead. Around that time, The Secret came out, and I dove into manifesting, initially quietly, then proudly as I saw real results that were too big to ignore.
The idea that you could “think your dreams into existence” sounded a little too good to be true. But at a point in my life when I felt stuck, uncertain, and disconnected from myself, I figured... why not try something different?
So I started small. I committed to daily manifesting practices for 30 days, not with the expectation that my whole life would change overnight, but simply to see what would happen if I consistently focused on what I did want, instead of what I feared.
What happened next? Honestly, it surprised me. By going for it, I was able to manifest better jobs, cars, money, free travel around the world, healing my body, and more.
Later, I created manifesting courses and helped many women reach their goals using the methods I live by. Now, I teach them as a tool to help women recover from heartbreak because healing means believing in the beautiful life waiting for you and figuring out how to create it from scratch, exactly what manifesting practices are designed to do.
Here are 6 ways manifesting practices changed my life
1. I became more aware of what I wanted
Before manifesting, I was living on autopilot, saying yes to things I didn’t want, staying in situations that drained me, and making decisions based on fear, hopelessness, or obligation. Journaling and visualizing every morning forced me to get clear.
What kind of life would truly light me up?
What did my dream day look like?
What kind of people did I want around me?
The more I asked myself those questions, the more I realized how much I’d been settling. Manifesting gave me permission to dream again, and clarity became my compass.
2. I took braver, aligned action
Here’s the truth most people don’t tell you: Manifesting doesn’t replace hard work. It just makes your hard work intentional.
Instead of living day by day, I began taking bolder, more aligned steps. Whether that meant sending that pitch, leaving a draining relationship, or booking that dream trip to Bali, even while still unsure about how I would make it all happen financially, I just did it.
It wasn’t always comfortable, but it felt purposeful, and that made all the difference. Taking inspired action towards my goals, whether I was financially prepared in that moment or not, was the key to making it all happen. When you take a bold step and confidently tell the universe, “This is what I am doing, I am ready,” it listens and unfolds the path for you.
3. I stopped entertaining what wasn’t meant for me
One unexpected shift? I started saying “no” a lot more.
Manifesting helped me focus on my desires with such clarity that anything misaligned became painfully obvious. Toxic friendships, jobs that didn’t honor my worth, and situations that kept me small, they started to fall away naturally.
And instead of panicking when those things left my life, I finally trusted that their absence was making space for something better.
I truly believe one of the most important facts to understand about life is that saying no to what you don’t want is how you get what you do want.
4. I noticed more synchronicities
Call it coincidence or call it alignment, but once I started focusing on what I wanted, life began reflecting it back to me in little ways.
I’d journal about needing clarity, and someone would recommend a book that spoke exactly to what I was struggling with. I’d visualize meeting new, aligned friends, and I’d randomly be invited to an event where I connected with soul-nourishing women. The right people, opportunities, and nudges started showing up, not magically, but meaningfully.
5. I reclaimed my power
Above all, manifesting taught me that I’m not helpless.
Even when things feel chaotic or uncertain, I have the power to shift my mindset, rewire my beliefs, and create space for something better. I realize I don’t have to wait for permission, luck, or someone else to change.
I can choose differently, show up as my higher self, and co-create a life that feels like mine. I know exactly what action to take in times of hardship; it might take time to shift an entire chapter, but 15 minutes is all it needs to change my mood and perception about it.
6. I learned environments are everything
You can’t heal in the place that made you sick. Changing your environment can change your life. Living with a toxic person is always going to stunt your growth, success, and happiness. Living in a messy space is always going to create chaos in your life. If you are just starting on your manifesting journey, start here: Do an inventory of your environments, your home, your car, your wallet, and where you work. How can you make them work better for you? Who needs to leave your space immediately because they are only going to bring you down?
This goes for places as well. There are certain places in the world where I thrive, and certain places in the world that deteriorate my mental and physical health. I don’t believe everyone is affected this way, but for those of us who are, one right move can completely improve your life. There are astrologers, like Helena Woods, who specialize in Astrocartography, which shows where in the world you will experience positive energies and opportunities for your career, inspiration, or love life.
Final thoughts
Manifesting didn’t turn me into a millionaire overnight. It didn’t erase all challenges, but it did provide me with a toolkit on how to deal with them better. I’m still confronted with people who aren’t good for me, but I get out of negative situations faster than ever before.
Now, manifesting is less about learning how to love myself or be a healthy person, and more about living intentionally, taking inspired action, and choosing faith over fear every day. Implementing the tools I use daily reduces the timeline for reaching my goals, that I know.
And the current version of me? She’s someone I’m proud to be.

If manifesting taught me anything, it’s this:
You’re allowed to want more, and you’re worthy of receiving it. You just need to know what to ask for.
