A child is born, by definition, dependent, first on their mother and then on the outside world. Later in life, they must learn to meet their own needs, freeing themselves from dependency and taking responsibility for their choices.

Tall trees with lush green leaves frame a clear blue sky, creating a tranquil and serene forest canopy scene.

"Dependency is not a curse, but a teacher. It reminds us of where we began and challenges us to grow."

Before dependency becomes a challenge, it is first and foremost a normal, physiological stage of human development. At the beginning of life, dependency is a necessity, even a blessing. By the very nature of things, we all begin in this state.

Life then becomes a long path toward autonomy, the journey of learning to find within ourselves what once came from outside. In exploring the nature of our dependencies, we revisit parts of our existence that were lived incompletely or with difficulty.

Dependency in early life

Dependency can be a driving force if we learn to use it as a tool to create or recreate our existence. Overprotection, however, often fueled by fear, reinforces dependency and risks stifling the natural development of early autonomy.

While parents often stress that they are the ones in charge, there are moments when a child should be encouraged to take ownership of their own choices, actions, and direction. Striking this balance is essential, supporting a child's growth while also fostering independence. Without such encouragement, dependency can become entrenched. Over time, this reliance may hinder the child's ability to develop confidence in their own judgment and decision-making.

Adolescence and the question of choice

At the moment of implantation, when the egg approaches the uterine wall, the uterus releases a molecule from the cannabis family, anandamide. It is as if the uterus is wooing the egg, inviting it to stay. Implantation is, in truth, the acceptance of an invitation.

Coluche once said, "If you're ever depressed, remember that once upon a time you were the first out of 500 million sperm." On average, only one fertilisation out of four results in a child.

So, a question arises: Am I here merely by chance, dependent on decisions beyond my control, or did I, in some mysterious way, choose?

Cannabis, one of the most common dependencies of adolescence, returns us to this original dilemma. Teenagers often protest, I didn't ask to be born. Their rebellion distances them from both pain and responsibility. Yet cannabis also reflects a more profound need, the chance to re-choose life and its direction. Medically, it can soothe depression, anxiety, or multiple sclerosis. Spiritually, it offers a pause, a moment to reconsider the meaning of one's existence.

Modern dependencies

  • Chocolate: dependency on pleasure and comfort.

  • Love: dependency on emotional resonance.

  • Alcohol: dependency that can reveal our struggle to access the inner truth.

As Dr. Olivier Soulier reminds us. "Satisfying a need allows us to release dependency."

Unresolved dependencies, however, can harden into addiction, whether through substances, technology, or even relationships. The challenge is to recognise what each dependency is teaching us and to use it as a stepping stone toward autonomy.

The electromagnetic dimension of dependency

We live constantly bathed in EMR, from sunlight to Wi-Fi, mobile networks, and Earth's magnetic field. Exposure can be nourishing or disruptive. Natural sunlight helps calibrate our circadian rhythms, boosts vitamin D, and uplifts our mood. Artificial overexposure can disturb sleep, stress the nervous system, and create subtle but real dependencies.

Genuine autonomy comes not from rejecting the field but from learning how to harmonise with it.

Resonance: The secret language of nature

Every cell communicates with every other cell, continuously, invisibly, effortlessly, through resonance.

Resonance is what you feel in the quiet bond with your child, your mother, or your dog. Communication happens at the most delicate level.

Scientific insight: The heart generates the body's most powerful rhythmic electromagnetic field, about 60 times stronger than brain waves, detectable up to three feet away. It influences internal coherence and external interactions.

Areca Plus Cards work on this principle, using colour vibrations and chakra alignment to restore cellular communication.

"Areca Plus Cards are companions in your journey toward autonomy. They don't replace your responsibility, but help restore harmony in your body and energy field."

From dependency to autonomy

Autonomy is a progressive transfer of competence. Life's path transitions from dependency to a passion for living. Responsibility is key, a free and autonomous being acts entirely and accepts responsibility.

"Vocation is having your passion as your profession." – Stendhal.

A final reflection

"Limited in his nature, infinite in his desires, Man is a fallen god who remembers the heavens." – Alphonse de Lamartine

Dependency is not a curse, it is a teacher. With mindful nutrition, conscious rhythms, and tools like Areca Plus Cards, we reconnect with the natural harmonies of body, mind, and world.
