Who is Jenna Bayuk?

I’m a founder, connector, and eternal seeker who thrives at the intersection of people, growth, and bold ideas. At home, I’m the kind of person who’ll happily spend a Saturday morning on lifting weights, a Sunday afternoon hiking with my rescue dogs Brooklyn and Hoola, then spend an evening gathered with friends around a table full of good food and conversation. I live for joy, vitality, and the spark of possibility. In business, I bring that same energy into every engagement, pairing sharp strategic thinking with a deeply human approach. Fun fact, I also host the "Built For This: Stories of a Maverick" podcast, where I get to sit down with fearless founders and explore what it really takes to build something extraordinary.

What inspired you to launch Kinship Kollective, and how have your core values evolved since its inception in 2019?

I launched Kinship Kollective because I saw a gap: ambitious founders and venture firms needed support that wasn’t off-the-shelf or transactional, but instead bold, personalized, and values-aligned. Traditional consulting felt rigid, expensive, and disconnected from the realities of entrepreneurship. I wanted to build something different, a partner that scaled with you, adapted to your seasons of growth, and kept people and culture at the center. Since 2019, my core values, joy, power, vitality, seeker, and love, have only deepened. They shape how I lead, how I show up for clients, and how Kinship delivers impact. Every engagement is grounded in integrity, curiosity, and the belief that bold growth and humanity are not mutually exclusive; they are inseparable.

How do you tailor your fractional support services to meet the unique challenges of fast-moving founders?

The reality is, founders don’t have time for cookie-cutter solutions. That’s why our model is built around listening deeply, diagnosing quickly, and delivering custom solutions that meet the moment. Whether it’s talent acquisition, culture programs, or board advisory, everything we design is calibrated to your unique stage and pace of growth. For one founder, that might mean building an entire hiring strategy from scratch; for another, it could be re-energizing a fractured culture after a rapid scale. The common thread? We don’t just advise from the sidelines, we embed, execute, and ensure alignment across the board so growth is sustainable and human-centered.

Could you share a notable success story where your ‘Vision Definition, Plan Realization, Track, Refine & Elevate’ process made a critical difference for a client?

One of our most transformative engagements came when a client asked us to completely rebuild their organization from the ground up. We started by listening, learning the history from the board of directors, unpacking what had worked, what hadn’t, and where they wanted to go. From there, we designed a plan to hire a full-time team aligned with their mission and values, but also with the bench strength to move fast and adapt in times of uncertainty. We secured the right leader for the organization, but when they couldn’t begin for a month after the rest of the team, I personally stepped in, leading the new hires, organizing priorities, and setting the foundation for success until the leader officially started. Even after that transition, Kinship has continued to support them in scaling across multiple areas. It’s a perfect example of fractional support with heart at its finest, nimble, quick, aligned, and executed with care and intention.

What distinguishes Kinship Kollective from traditional consultancies when it comes to fostering alignment between venture firms and their portfolio companies?

Traditional consultancies often come in, drop a report, and leave. We don’t do that. Kinship operates as a true partner, bridging the gap between venture firms and their portfolio companies with transparency, empathy, and action. We’re not satisfied with theory; we’re in the trenches with you, ensuring strategies stick and relationships thrive. Our sweet spot is alignment: making sure firms and companies are rowing in the same direction, equipped with the right people, culture, and governance to fuel long-term success. We scale alongside you, continuously refining as growth evolves because alignment isn’t a one-time fix; it’s an ongoing practice.

How do you adapt your services to support clients aiming for fast, bold growth while maintaining a human-centered approach?

Growth at speed can feel like a tidal wave, exhilarating but also destabilizing. Our role is to anchor that momentum in systems and practices that protect the human side of business. We design culture programs that prioritize well-being and engagement, we guide hiring so that the right leaders are in the right seats, and we advise boards, so governance doesn’t become a bottleneck. By pairing bold growth with a people-first lens, we create environments where founders don’t just scale companies, they scale sustainably, with teams who are energized, aligned, and ready to go the distance.
