Joseph C Pledger, Jr., Educational Specialist
Who is Joseph Pledger?
“Mr. Joe” is an aspiring cast member in the game of life and online educational programming. He kept himself sane with childhood promises and past time axioms. Slow and easy wins the race. If something is so loved, then let it go. Should it ever return, then love meant it be yours! Get back and restore the Lost. Raise the Ante! Know when to hold 'em and when to fold ‘em.
What inspired you to create The Americana Noire, and what does it stand for today?
The Outside Educational Resource (OER) Commons. It stands for the Humanities and Repertoire Theatre. There is a redemption storytelling arc offered behind the identity politics of the Gilded Age and Antebellum period of commercial advertising art. (1830-1930).
How would you clearly describe what you do and who you help in one sentence?
Clearing pathways through the trauma of public policy failures and human subjugation, mythology and allegory are clearly illustrated, scripted and scored with original lyrics, sequential art and narrative study for personal growth and civic diversion.
What core problem are your clients or audience struggling with when they come to you?
Paradox. Their failure has yet to realize their desired market value and trap their wealth gap. Industry trends and market forces push and pull them towards making fatalistic decisions.
How does your work help people see history, culture, or storytelling differently?
The American Tarot. Deal them the character cards most likely to advance their mythology through its allegory. Employing virtual game theory and storyboard activities guides audiences out of the real world and into manipulating diversions beyond their existence.
What makes your perspective and approach unique in your field?
Inviting other’s brokenness into your mythology subjugates their allegory. Their pain and their power. Thus, trapping the dynamic in a numerical sequence of numbers determined by its dates, your trivia and their intention. Celestial Numbers. Sacred Paradigms. Nikola Tesla’s numbers were 3-6-9. Mine were 2-3-5-7. You achieve the peace of your perfection, within the universe which caused your birth and certifies death.
Can you share a powerful transformation or insight someone has gained through your work?
David Finch and I became acquainted through College Gifted Programs’ Denison SIG 2000. Though he struggled with Asperger's Syndrome, David sought to better himself. Teaching assisted his poor performance with computer-aided figure drawing. Connecting amazing stories concerning my lost brother and his hometown caused a life event to occur sitting between us. EVERYONE standing outdoors saw and heard us make it happen. Nearly a decade later, David Finch strangely aged out from the fables of the pop culture convention industry and comic book marketplace. Voted Best New Artist at 2009’s San Diego Comic Con. He now believes himself to be one year older than myself. Because I had shown him “The Rage”!
How do your films, content, or platforms create awareness, education, or change?
Cultural awareness, educational commitment change agency created through movie marketing, online education and branded entertainment.
What misconceptions do people commonly have about the stories or themes you address?
T.L. Champion reflected on advertising its value to her B.L.I.S.S. events. She remarked on its nuance and narrative study were not the fit for its inspirational branding. Yumi Odom founded Fratur Heru Institute and regards positivity to be ideally suited for developing Black Age of Comics audiences. So, themes of failure and trauma have been considered unbecoming and negatively impactful for building bridges into event spaces.
Who is your work best suited for, and why do they resonate so deeply with it?
Insightful readers and luminary audiences conditioned by Thought Leadership. Twenty years ago, Journalist Lisa Ling, Poet Robert Pinsky and Comic Industry Critic Tony Isabella were approached by me at scheduled event spaces. Because their aspirations for a better American experience and global community reflected back scorecards personalized to me!
What impact do you ultimately want your audience or clients to experience after engaging with your work?
Follow the Paradigms out of the paradoxes, confinement and restitutions society owes them. Bloodline spells flow through hearts, habits and minds on a collision course with destiny. Spellcast your timeline and bait it with switches!
How can people connect with you or work with you if they feel aligned with your mission?
