Michelle, as the founder of living your life with purpose and intention, would you explain what a life of purpose and intention brings to someone?

Purpose and intention are not merely spiritual buzzwords; they are essential for growth and transformation. Living with purpose means understanding why you are here and recognizing the lessons your soul has chosen for this lifetime. Intention, in turn, requires mindful living, choosing your words, actions, and thoughts with care. It’s about how you respond to life, how you treat yourself and others, and how you show up for yourself each day. Living with purpose and intention brings clarity and direction, inviting you to live consciously and be fully present in each moment. This intentional way of living opens doors to healing, growth, and alignment with the universe’s flow, enabling you to create a life that reflects your soul’s purpose and brings joy and fulfillment.

What inspired you to write your book and bring these concepts to life for others?

The concepts of purpose and intention were taught to me in my early teens. My father, following a serious health crisis, embraced spiritual practices and ideology to heal, I was fortunate that he intuitively understood the importance of involving me directly, allowing me to experience a wide range of metaphysical practices and practitioners. My Father’s journey lit that same spark in me, and over time, life events, especially challenging ones, confirmed that everything we go through has a purpose. It’s up to us to embrace it, learn from it, and use it as a guiding force in our lives.

My desire to write my book “Embrace Spirituality and Enhance Your Human Experience” came from a deep calling, something I intuitively know forms part of my purpose in this lifetime; to share the tools and knowledge I’ve accumulated over the years, tools that have guided me through my own transformations. Many people are being drawn to spiritual practices to heal and change without a strong foundation or understanding and lack of the basic skills or knowledge to fully integrate spirituality into their lives. I knew that with my background in learning and development, I could help them build that foundation, guiding them step by step through their journey. It wasn’t enough for me to just keep these practices for myself, I feel a responsibility to help others connect with their true selves, align with their higher purpose, and bring balance to their lives what many call a spiritual awakening.

What is spiritual awakening from your perspective?

Spiritual awakening is about peeling back layers of conditioning and societal expectations to rediscover who you are at your core. It’s learning to quiet the noise and listen to your inner self, the voice of intuition that’s always been there, beyond past experiences that may have attached fear to how we live, whether that fear is mild worry or trauma that holds us back from fully engaging with life.

Tuning into this inner wisdom often begins with a profound moment of realization, a shift in perspective, or a life-altering event that shakes you into questioning everything. But awakening is not a one-time experience; it’s an ongoing journey of self-discovery, growth, and alignment with your highest self.

Why do you think some people find this process challenging?

Not everyone is ready or willing to embrace the change required to step into their authentic self. Many of us have deep-rooted fears, limiting beliefs, and unresolved trauma that can keep us stuck in old patterns. Change often requires us to face parts of ourselves we’ve been avoiding, and that’s not always easy. Additionally, the unknown can feel intimidating, people might be comfortable in their discomfort because at least it’s familiar. Sometimes, it’s not a lack of ability but a lack of trust in the process, or even a fear of what might happen if they truly step into their power. The truth is, everyone can hear their inner voice and connect with their higher selves, this is with us from birth and therefore we all have the capacity for transformation, but it’s about being willing to do the inner work.

How do you support someone through these challenges?

When it is time for someone to move out of their current situation, the Universe will let them know that what may have been a difficult situation will slowly become more unbearable, to the point where a person’s health or even safety will be at risk. Many people still won’t listen, but many will, there is a famous quote, when the student is ready the teacher will appear, and this occurred even for me. When I was at a stage in my life where it was time to move, my spiritual mentor, who is now also a very dear friend, just appeared on my Facebook feed one day, and I can honestly say I would not be where I am now if I had not had her guidance.

Often, the challenge is simply knowing how to trust themselves and their intuition, because they’ve been conditioned to look outside themselves for answers. You need to meet the person where they are at in their human experience at this time, everyone is different, and don’t assume they have any knowledge of the topic, that’s why I wrote the book.

This human experience is an opportunity for your soul to evolve. But evolution often requires honesty and a willingness to confront uncomfortable truths. Deep spiritual growth happens when you are willing to face these truths, heal, and move forward.

You are launching workshops in 2025 to support people to live with purpose and intention, tell us more about these.

I’m excited to be able to offer these workshops, these programs are based on the material in my book. Level 1 Foundations is delivered over a series of weeks combining the theory and journaling exercises in the book with a live weekly session to allow for practical application of what is being taught and an opportunity to be with a community of people on similar journeys. This Level 1 course takes everyone back to the basics, the foundational principles and practices of spirituality everything from how to practice grounding through to the Hermetic Principles.

Participants can then move to Level 2 the Modalities, here I teach about modalities that can be used to enhance your spiritual development, healing and understanding. This level is more hands on and incorporates practices that provide you with opportunities to strengthen your ability to hear your intuition and identify your psychic abilities.

Finally, what is one key practice you would suggest that everyone should incorporate into their life?

Meditation and journaling are two essential practices for spiritual growth. Meditation quiets the mind, helping you tune into your intuition, while journaling offers a way to reflect on your experiences and explore how purpose and intention shape your journey. When you journal, your mind may want to stick to safe topics, but your heart calls for deeper truths. By committing to these practices, you create space for self-awareness and continuous reflection, nurturing your spiritual and soul’s evolution.
