What inspired you to start Holistic Health Hunter?

My passion for health and wellness comes from a deeply personal place. I’ve been on a health journey my entire life—one that began the moment I was born. Diagnosed at a young age with Psoriasis, an autoimmune condition, I grew up navigating the physical pain, emotional challenges, and social stigma that came with it.

By the time I reached kindergarten, the Psoriasis had spread to nearly my entire body. While I was fortunate that it didn’t affect my face, hands, or feet, it was still impossible to hide. I spent my childhood covering up as much as I could, avoiding short sleeves, shorts, or hairstyles that would expose my condition. The constant questions, stares, and even pity from strangers were a daily reminder of how I was different.

The physical pain was relentless. My skin would crack, bleed, and stick to my clothes, making even the simplest tasks unbearable. I can still remember peeling off my clothes after playing outside with friends, knowing the pain and bloody mess I’d have to deal with afterward. Nights were no better—I’d cry myself to sleep from the discomfort and frustration.

Doctors at the time didn’t have many answers. After countless visits to specialists, I was finally diagnosed with Psoriasis. But the treatments they offered—ointments, UV therapy, and even wrapping my limbs and torso in Saran Wrap and securing it with masking tape to “seal in moisture”—did little to help. Instead, their protocols added new layers of discomfort, like sleepless nights for years on end. The doctors also had me use their tannings beds in the hope it would provide relief, but it only ended up giving me year-round sunburns.

For years, I resigned myself to the idea that this was just my life. I learned to manage the pain and hide my condition as best as I could, but the emotional toll was heavy. I avoided dark-colored clothing, dreaded windy or rainy days because it would expose my scalp issues, and avoided sleeping anywhere else but home as much as possible.

I had seen so many different Dermatologists but received the same failed treatments. I had never thought about how the food I was eating or the products I was using could be affecting my skin. When I finally saw a Naturopathic doctor, everything changed. She diagnosed me with Leaky Gut and a massive Candida overgrowth—conditions I had never even heard of—and created a plan to address the root causes of my symptoms.

I gave up gluten, wheat, yeast, dairy, and sugar, and for the first time in my life, I started to feel relief. Within days, my energy levels improved, my pain diminished, and my mental clarity started to return. Over the next few months, my skin began to heal. It wasn’t perfect, but it was progress—something I hadn’t experienced in over 40 years. But, as I continued on the protocols as prescribed, I still had issues with my skin.

My turning point came when I discovered the teachings of Dr. Edward Group. His approach to natural healing resonated deeply with me, and within 24 hours of implementing his recommendations, I felt a massive shift in my skin! I had found the root cause of all my health issues and was able to learn how I could truly transform my health. His teachings helped me to learn what was missing from my initial diagnosis and how to truly heal. I knew I had finally found the answer I had been searching for my entire life. Within less than 90 days, I had fully healed my body from Psoriasis.

Inspired by my own transformation, I became a Certified Natural Health Coach. I wanted to share what I had learned and help others find the same freedom I had found. For the first time, I could wear dark-colored shirts without fear, sleep on any sheets I wanted, and live my life without constantly thinking about my skin! I have truly found what I was meant to do in this life. I was meant to teach others this way of natural healing and to transform their lives, as well.

Today, I work with individuals to identify the physical and mental barriers holding them back from living their best lives. I specialize in creating personalized strategies that bring balance back to the body through diet, supplementation, exercise, meditation, and personal development. My goal is to be a trusted resource and guide for anyone seeking to unlock their body’s natural ability to heal.

When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me spending time with my family, my dog, and my 12 chickens, or diving into research on health, wellness, and personal growth. I also love music, art, and connecting with nature.

If you’ve been searching for answers and feel like traditional approaches haven’t worked for you, then know this: your body is designed to heal. I’m here to guide you, support you, and show you how to unlock the vibrant health you deserve!

How do you define “holistic wellness” in your personal and professional life?

Professionally, I define holistic wellness as treating the whole person including their physical and mental health. Many people think that a physical illness is just physical. But, the emotional toll that it can take on the person is immense. The food, air and water we drink is all treated with chemicals that affect both our physical and emotional health too. So, concentrating on the mental aspect of the healing process is essential in reaching their success.

Personally, I define holistic wellness as being grounded, being mindful, being seen and heard by loved ones, being happy with your family, friends, relationships and profession. It’s truly transformed my life, and so I’m deeply attached to this lifestyle as a result.

What makes your approach unique compared to other wellness platforms?

The education I received from the Global Healing Institute is not taught at any other school. As Health Coaches, we were taught how to be true teachers and educators, how to get to the root cause of the issues and help people restore their body’s self-healing mechanisms, how to be mindful and present and set the example of how to be truly well for our practice members. I was taught that the body was magnificently and divinely created to be able to heal itself. We learned the true root cause of all disease and how to remove the obstacles that are in the way of healing.

My education sets me apart from all other Health Coaches in that I’m not just checking off a checklist of tasks that practice members need to complete. I’m building a lifelong relationship with my practice members to be their single source for all things health related. I’m building a foundation for them and their families to get back to the natural order of healing and to have the peace of mind of knowing how they can heal themselves as they get older.

How do you stay balanced and aligned in your own health journey?

I take my role as a Board Certified Natural Health Coach seriously. I eat, sleep and breathe natural health and wellness! It is something that I am truly passionate about as I’ve seen true healing in my own body. It’s what keeps me motivated to continue to lead this lifestyle. Is it challenging at times? Sure! But, those moments are few and far between. I’ve always been a Type A person and am extremely organized, so a lot of my habits are organized to set me up for success. I find that taking time each day for my own wellness makes me a better coach for my practice members. Keeping my energy and vibrational frequency aligned is a top priority for me.

What exciting projects or offerings are you working on next?

I have a few classes coming up in a couple weeks that I’m teaching as I love to connect with people in my local community. I’m also looking into courses on becoming a Certified Pet Health Coach. I often have practice members seek out my advice for their animals because of how well I care for my own pets. I have a dog named, Luna, and 12 chickens. I am passionate about all animals, so getting that education is something that excites me!

If you could change one thing about your industry, what would it be and why?

I wish more insurance companies would cover our services, but they are only interested in their profits. They don’t want people to truly get well. So, the services they cover are carefully curated to make them the most profit. Too often, people would rather seek out lukewarm health care providers in the allopathic model only because it’s covered by their insurance. My goal is to change people’s perception of what should be their wellness so that they can benefit from making it a priority.

Tell us about a pivotal moment in your life that brought you to where you are today.

Making the switch from the Allopathic model of health and wellness to the Naturopathic model has been the single greatest pivotal moment in my entire life. The education I’ve received and the research that I’ve conducted has truly changed every aspect of my life. It’s as though I have finally awoken out of a slumber to a bright, new world of hope! What a community of amazing healers that were missing from my life for so long.
