As cryptic as it might sound, the expression “it is written in the stars” has some truth to it. I found through lengthy studying of Astrology that there are some interesting things to say about it. Studying Astrology for over two decades now, I feel more and more like a seasoned astrologer, especially to the mass public that regretfully doesn’t really understand the true and deep mechanism that works through the energies of the star signs, myths, legends, planet meanings and archetypes. This is way deeper than just connecting to a planet that resembles some symbolic meaning. The deeper psychology is valuable even for people that don’t really “believe” in Astrology.

“The deeper psychology is valuable even for people that don’t really “believe” in Astrology.”

So how does it basically work? You make yourself a Birth Chart based on your birth date, birth time and birth place. Based on this Birth Chart you can see your first Blueprint of how your unique situation was when you were born. Through life you develop different paths and skills, and this is also viewable through Transits, Progressions and Solar Horoscopes. These are different strategies of proper and individual divination through Astrological calculations.

“Your Astrological Blueprint actually evolves through your life and is not just a static given, as you grow and mature in your life too!”

Let’s talk more about the Blueprint Birth Chart. First of all you see the 12 star signs, which are there for everyone. Then you see all the planets, and some specific mathematic points and asteroids to give even more individual meaning to your Birth Chart. The Birth Chart is divided into 12 houses, which are 12 different areas of your life. Through Life Design Psychology you can reach these 12 houses by asking the right kind of questions and doing proper self-reflection. By using Astrology, you can actually find out more clues that are your blind spots or subconscious patterns that you might not even be aware of. This is especially useful for delving into your talents, gifts, cures and solutions for your individual problems. To delve deeper into your personality, you can also see that planets make certain angles with each other, which are called aspects. These aspects give nuances to your personality and give your personality a deeper level. Together all these components are your personal Blueprint, which is developing according to a certain life pattern through your life. As you can see and understand, this is way more personal than a generic Sun Sign Profiling.

“Combining Astrology with the 12 areas of Life Design Psychology gives extra clues on how to go about filling your life purposefully, guided and useful!”

Something especially useful with astrology is the analysis of relationships, be it coworkers, family, your boss or parents, friends, love relationships or sexual relationships. This can show you really different possibilities and a deeper understanding why sometimes you click with someone and with the other person not. It is a way of gaining understanding beyond your rational mind, and using your gut feelings more. Combining your astrological insight with psychology you can make yourself a right estimate of a certain person and a connection you can have with someone or not, depending on the data you find by combining both.

“There is no other better guidance to understand your relationships to the core, than through astrological knowledge, because people are more complex than psychological tests and there is an element of faith and mutual free will in relationships that you can only understand so far through astrology and other spiritual means.”

Astrology is a useful psychological tool to understand yourself and each other better. It works even for skeptical people and is actually a really old science, used in the old ages, with a long history. It is, however still an up to date field, since people are nowadays still looking for answers beyond psychological reasoning, especially if we talk about themes that play in relationships like “soulmates”, “twinflames” and “meant to be” relationships. For that reason, to solve relationship issues among other reasons it is a useful tool to understand and know how to apply astrology into your practice as a psychologist or therapist.
