Do you want to use your intuitive power to manifest the life you desire? Have you experienced moments where you thought "I should have listened to that inner voice" or "I knew it"? This knowingness in your heart or gut instinct is your intuition, and we are all born with it. Along with our five senses (sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell), we have a sixth sense called the prophetic sense, which opens up when we become mindful of our bodily senses and observe our feelings.

Our prophetic senses are special gifts, including clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, and claircognizance. We may naturally lean toward one or more of these senses, just as I am more of a visual person. When I was younger, my brothers and I used to enjoy playing the “intuitive guess game” which is guessing how much money was in their pocket or mind reading or predicting their exam results. It was so much fun and so magical!

However, as I grew older, I started to doubt my intuitive ability, and fears crept in. What if I was wrong, or worse, what if someone felt hurt with what I sensed? Eventually, these doubts and fears took over my intuition. It was not until I lost my parents and dove into Theta healing 13 years ago that I was able to clear my energy field, subconscious intuitive blocks, and fears. Theta healing is an energy healing modality that transforms limiting beliefs into empowering ones.

Based on my experience, here are the five issues that can block your intuition:

  1. Overwhelm: Survival and stress modes can block your energy flow, vision, and wisdom. Your body's energy field diminishes and contracts when you feel anxious and stressed. To tap into your senses, you need to feel calm, present, and relaxed.

  2. Fears: You may fear the future or the unknown, not knowing what you will see or sense. Sometimes, the power of knowingness can be scary. Remember that your decisions and choices create your future, and it is not set in stone.

  3. Mistrust: You may not trust yourself, your intuitive abilities, your wisdom, or the Universe. This may stem from past experiences, beliefs, or mistakes where doubts overpowered your faith. Leave the past behind and believe in yourself in the present. Trust that you are being guided by higher powers.

  4. Comparison: Comparing yourself to others can dampen your energy and light. Jealousy and anger can block your intuitive powers. Remember that we are all unique, and the only comparison should be with yourself. Nurture your skills, talents and qualities.

  5. Negative Words: Words have power and frequency. Negative words such as "I can't sense it" can block your powers and lower your frequency and mindset. Silence the monkey mind that's negative.

Intuition is like a spiritual muscle that grows stronger the more we use it.

Here are five practical steps to help you enhance your spiritual powers:

  1. Enroll in the spiritual gym: This free membership gym is a beautiful realm. Choose to empower yourself as a spiritual and intuitive being.

  2. Use your spiritual muscles: Just like your physical muscles weaken without exercise, your spiritual muscles will weaken without daily meditation practice. Connect with your breath, your heart, your bodily senses, and intuition. Make notes of the messages you receive and observe how things shape up from your wisdom, vision, and intuition.

  3. Self-compassion: It's okay if you sensed something that did not happen. Forgive yourself and be gentle, kind, and loving to yourself.

  4. Pay attention to nutrition: Avoid addictive substances such as alcohol and smoking. Hydrate yourself with water and eat more rainbow colors in your diet with fresh fruits and vegetables.

  5. Practice with patience: Muscles don't grow in one day, and practice makes perfect. Even though you may not see immediate results when you start meditating and tapping into your senses and psychic centers, keep practicing, trust the process, and surrender your ego to your soul. Be patient, be kind, and be in the flow.
