What if folding laundry or doing the dishes could actually bring you and your partner closer, way closer? The “Sex Chore WOD” flips mundane household tasks into playful, sensual rituals that build intimacy and spark desire. It’s not about adding more to your to-do list, but about turning everyday moments into opportunities for a steamy connection.

The photo shows a couple sharing an intimate moment in a modern kitchen, with the woman sitting on the counter and wrapping her legs around the man as they embrace.

In this article, I’m infusing a few of my deep loves: pleasure, science, and CrossFit.

So let’s talk about what happens when you mix brain chemistry with bliss because the better you know you, the better you bonk.

Here’s a fun brain fact for your pleasure files:

We are wired for rewards.

Rewards aren’t just a nice-to-have; they’re a biological imperative.

At the core of our design is the reward system, a brilliant network in the brain that releases dopamine, the feel-good neurotransmitter, when we anticipate or experience a reward.

  • That spark of desire?

  • That motivation to move, touch, and explore?

  • That’s dopamine, baby.

The photo shows a realistic human brain wearing an ornate jeweled crown, set against a bright yellow background, symbolizing the power or royalty of the mind.

Research has proven that short bursts of focused effort followed by something satisfying light up the brain’s reward pathways and honestly, what’s more satisfying than a little well-deserved pleasure?

The Pomodoro Technique is a 20-minute work, 10-minute break time management technique designed to enhance focus and productivity. So when you pair 20-minute short bursts of focused effort with a satisfying reward like we do in the practice I am about to share, you’re working with your biology, not against it.

This isn’t just fun. It’s neurochemically smart.

The photo shows a vintage-style alarm clock placed at the center of a two-toned background—pink on the left and light blue on the right—creating a visually balanced and minimalist composition.

Here’s the rhythm:

  • 20 minutes of chore time

  • 10 minutes of pleasure

  • Repeat until the task (and your bodies) are complete

Want a peek at how we did it?

  • 20 mins cleaning

  • 10 mins of me pleasuring him

  • 20 mins cleaning

  • 10 mins of him pleasuring me

  • 20 mins cleaning

  • 10 mins of our bits next to each other, but not in each other's

We cleaned. We connected.

We collapsed in bliss.

Closet = conquered. Intimacy = leveled up.

(And yes, the closet still sparks joy every time I open it.)

You can spice it up with any flavor of pleasure that your body is calling for!

Flying solo? Absolutely yes.

You can adapt this just for you. Try this:

  • 20 minutes of focused work

  • 10 minutes of nourishing breathwork breathing directly into your pleasure bits*

  • 20 minutes of focused work

  • 10 minutes of sensual self-touch exploring your entire body (no rushing straight to the genitals slow it way down)

  • 20 minutes of focused work

  • 10 minutes of self-pleasuring in any way you like

Breathing is a holistic sex tool that you have access to right now. Want to learn more? I've got you, babe!

This is what it means to weave pleasure into the everyday. This is how we Bonk Better.

Ready to put it into practice?

Try your own Sex Chore WOD this weekend and tag me if you do. I want to see those clean closet glows.
