In recent years, gyms were essentially taken away from us for an extended period of time. Some people managed to stay motivated and continue exercising, while others fell out of their routines completely. However, online fitness training emerged as a booming trend during this time, and I had the privilege of being a part of it.

In this article, we will dive into why online fitness training can be a game-changer for many individuals, as well as the perks to coaching this way for those looking to go virtual as a trainer! So grab your water bottle, put on your favourite workout gear (or pjs…cause you’re home), and let's dive into the virtual fitness world!

Convenience at its finest

Let's face it, life can get hectic. Balancing work, family, and social commitments can make it challenging to squeeze in regular gym visits. Online fitness training brings the gym to you. With just a few clicks, you can access a world of workouts from the comfort of your living room. No more rushing through traffic, battling for parking spots, or seeing more people, if you’ve already had a busy day. Or better yet – maybe you love the gym, you just don’t know what to do there. Take your phone, and your workout to the gym, and have your online coach create you a workout suited for your gym. I would say about 60% of my clients workout at the gym, so I create programs for them to do there.

For the online trainers, you have the unique opportunity to coach clients from the comfort of your own home. This has greatly benefited me personally by providing me with an abundance of time, compared to in person coaching. I can choose to work more when needed, or enjoy some

much-needed downtime during my busy work day.

Flexibility to suit your lifestyle with online fitness training

One of the great perks of being coached online is the flexibility it offers you. Whether you're an early riser or a night owl, you get to choose when to exercise. You won’t need to adhere to a fixed class schedule or wait for a particular machine to become available. Online workouts are available 24/7, allowing you to tailor your fitness routine to fit your lifestyle, not the other way around. Plus – the workouts are designed for you, taking the guesswork out of what to do to get your results you’re after.

On the flip side – when it comes to being an online coach, you have the freedom to work from anywhere in the world. This flexibility is especially useful when you need to accommodate urgent appointments or family obligations while still being able to check in with your clients.

Personalized guidance and support

Online fitness platforms often provide personalized guidance tailored to you. My online clients have access to customised workout plans with video demonstration. I offer technique tips, and even provide virtual support for them. It's like having a personal trainer in your pocket!

Community and accountability

Online fitness training often comes with a thriving community of like-minded individuals who are on the same wellness journey as you. You can connect with fellow fitness enthusiasts, participate in challenges, and even share your progress. The support, motivation, and accountability you'll find in these virtual communities are priceless. My virtual community was extremely valuable in times when physical interactions were limited, and still to this day provides a flood of support through like minded people. Online communities also serve as a platform for knowledge sharing, where members can learn from each other, exchange insights, and gain new perspectives. The support and encouragement within these communities foster personal growth, motivation, and accountability. The benefits of finding your tribe in an online community are immeasurable.

Conclusion

Online fitness training is the ultimate solution for those seeking convenience, flexibility, and a personalized fitness experience. It empowers you to create your own schedule, and provides you with expert guidance from a coach, as well as being in a supportive community. So why not give it a try? Embrace the advantages of online fitness training, break a sweat, and enjoy your journey toward a healthier, fitter you.
