Of all the paths my life could have taken, leading a family-owned moving company wasn’t one I initially envisioned for myself. Yet, looking back, I realize that Ameritex Movers have been put together into the fabric of my life from the very beginning. What started as a small business run by my mom in Dallas has now evolved into a thriving, multi-city operation, and today, I have the privilege of leading both our Dallas and Houston branches.

Building and expanding Ameritex Movers has been both a challenging and deeply fulfilling journey. I’ve had the unique experience of watching the business grow from its early days into one of the top moving companies in Houston and become the best Dallas movers, while never losing sight of the core values that my family instilled from the start, integrity, accountability, communication, grit, and innovative thinking. These principles are the foundation of our success and have fueled our expansion from Dallas to Houston.

But this isn’t just a story about growing a business, it’s about creating a lasting legacy, one rooted in family, resilience, and commitment to excellence.

A family legacy

Ameritex Movers has always been a family affair. In the early days, it was my mom who first planted the seeds of the business in Dallas. I grew up watching her lead with a hands-on approach, balancing the challenges of running a business while making every client feel like part of our extended family. Seeing her passion and dedication inspired me to take on a larger role in the business as I got older.

When the time came, I saw an opportunity to bring our family’s values and high standard of service to Houston. The city was booming, and I knew there was room for a moving company that didn’t just focus on getting from point A to point B, but on delivering an experience rooted in care, trust, and reliability. That’s what Ameritex Movers has always stood for, and I wanted to make sure our Houston clients felt that same level of commitment.

Building the Houston branch: A bold step forward

Starting the Houston branch was a bold move, but it was a necessary one. Houston is a city of constant growth, with people moving in and out daily, chasing new opportunities and building new lives. I saw this as a chance to bring the family business to a new market, one where our reputation for integrity and excellent service could stand out.

At first, it wasn’t easy. Growing any business is challenging, and entering a new market comes with its own set of hurdles. But what kept me going was the knowledge that we were doing something special. Ameritex Movers was not just another moving company. We were and still are a company that puts people first. Moving can be one of the most stressful events in someone’s life, and I wanted to ensure that our clients felt supported every step of the way.

We built Ameritex Movers Houston on a foundation of trust. We gained clients not just through marketing but through word-of-mouth referrals, because when people experience the level of care we provide, they tell their friends and family. That’s how we grew one move at a time, with each client becoming part of our family.

Expanding to Dallas: Taking the reins

While Houston grew, the time came for me to step into an even larger leadership role. My mom, who had been leading the Dallas operations for years, was ready to transition out of the day-to-day responsibilities. It was then that I realized the opportunity and the responsibility of running both the Houston and Dallas branches. This wasn’t just about expansion, it was about honoring the legacy my family had built while looking toward the future.

Running both locations has been a balancing act, but it's also incredibly rewarding. Each city has its own unique challenges and opportunities, and I’ve had to adapt my leadership style to suit the needs of both markets. Houston is fast-paced, with a constant influx of new residents, while Dallas has a more established base of loyal clients who trust us with their repeat business. But no matter the market, our core values remain the same.

The vision for Ameritex Movers: A bright future

As I look to the future of Ameritex Movers, my vision is clear. I want us to be the go-to moving company not just in Houston and Dallas, but across the entire state of Texas and beyond. We’ve already established ourselves as one of the top-rated movers in Houston, and now we’re on our way to becoming the best movers in Dallas as well.

This vision is rooted in our strong commitment to service. At Ameritex Movers, we don’t see ourselves as just moving people’s belongings, we’re helping them transition to new phases of their lives. Whether it’s a family upgrading to their dream home, a young professional moving to a new city, or a couple downsizing after their kids have left for college, we are there for those pivotal moments. And that’s what makes our work so rewarding.

Our expansion plan is about more than just growing the business. It’s about scaling our values. As we grow, I am committed to ensuring that every single Ameritex Movers client, whether they’re moving from a studio apartment or a five-bedroom house, receives the same level of care and attention. We are constantly improving our services, from professional packing and unpacking to offering personalized moving solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs.

Lessons in leadership

Being a leader in this family business has taught me so much about resilience, adaptability, and the importance of relationships. I’ve learned that success isn’t just about growing the business, it’s about growing the people around you. I’m proud of the team we’ve built, each mover, each office member, and each manager who works tirelessly to ensure that every client has a stress-free moving experience. Our people are the heart and soul of Ameritex Movers, and they are the reason we have been able to expand successfully.

As we continue to grow in both Houston and Dallas, I remain focused on what has always set us apart, a genuine commitment to our clients. My vision is to keep pushing boundaries, to keep delivering exceptional service, and to continue making a difference in the lives of the people we move.

The road ahead: Moving with purpose

As I steer Ameritex Movers into the future, I’m excited for what’s to come. We’ve already made our mark as top-rated movers in Houston, and now we’re well on our way to becoming the best movers in Dallas. But this is just the beginning. With every move, every expansion, and every challenge, we are growing stronger as a company and as a family.

Ameritex Movers isn’t just a business, it's a legacy. It’s a testament to the hard work of my mom, the dedication of our team, and the trust of our clients. We are moving people’s lives, and we take that responsibility seriously. As we continue to expand, my commitment remains the same, to lead with vision, integrity, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
