There are two ways of coping with difficulties and challenges in life. Either you let them control you or you take control of them.

If the second was that simple, we will all be standing in control of what is happening in our lives all the time. However, when you master the four personalities you have inside you, you will start feeling more in charge and more in tune with your inner peace.

Start by starving the problems

Reality is far from being that simple. Because when you find yourself overwhelmed with responsibilities and problems, they absorb every part of your brain. They pile up and make you feel like you are blocked by a huge wall creating a terror barrier or you are stuck in a strong storm.

In those cases, you are faced with two options. The first direction is when the storm carries you in the vicious circle of anxiety, stress and feeling like hiding in a rabbit whole of depression. The second direction is when you power up, display your resilience and become invincible by focusing on the solutions and starving the problems.

Problems build up when you feed them with continuous worries and thoughts. But when you starve them, you make them look and feel smaller. This means that you should not let problems take over and absorb all your energy. In the opposite, you should put things in perspective and choose strategically to focus on solutions and on how to grow despite the hurdles. Often, challenges are there to show you another path where you can thrive and create more success. You just need to trust the process and have faith.

Find the Warrior Inside you

I have been a professional, a hard-working woman, a strategist and an over achiever my whole life, because I was programmed that way. This had become my normal personality throughout the years.

I started at the World Bank in Washington right after my Harvard PhD. I travelled the world in my twenties and early thirties working on development strategies for countries and remote regions to reduce poverty, to bring the basic infrastructure and to make a difference in people’s lives.

Then I worked in the government, in the public sector and in the private sector reaching executive and leadership roles, before becoming a strategic entrepreneur.

But the best part of my professional journey is about being a mother of four beautiful children. Because caring and giving true love continuously with no expectation is the most beautiful thing you can do. And it is the most sustainable source of fuel and energy which help you carry on.

That part has been my savior when my professional life was going through the ups and downs of a drama movie!

Perhaps not that part alone, as I needed a strong resilience. That is the time where the Warrior inside me needed to come out. Because, when you need to rebuild yourself, you need to embrace several personalities, and the challenge is to find them inside you.

This is the reason why I created the BAL Method[1] to help women Believe in themselves and in their talent and gifts, to structure a strategic plan to take Action in reaching their goals and to Lead with their inner power.

By connecting the dots for women, the BAL Method helps them create wealth and make a sustainable impact around them. And most important, when you master and understand when and how to use the four personalities, it becomes possible to thrive no matter what and to turn your vision into a reality.

Master the four universal Archetypes

There are four types of personalities which play an important role in influencing your behavior and your state of mind. They are known as the Universal Archetypes.

When you master them, the only job you will have going forward is to know which one to use and when:

  • The MAGICIAN: The Magician in you is about your intuition and the unique gifts you have inside you. When you are aware of them and you know how to let them guide you, you can make the impossible possible.

  • The WARRIOR: That is the infinite power inside you. It will take you anywhere you want in life. The Warrior in you will help you overcome all the obstacles you encounter on your path towards your dream goal no matter how hurtful they might be.

  • The LOVER: This is all the love you have in you. Your primary role is to fill it up, by loving yourself truly first and forgiving yourself for any past mistakes—let go of them. Once you fill your cup with so much love, you will be ready to give. Because giving is living!

  • The SOVEREIGN: For the ladies, that will be the Queen inside you, the one that deserves and command respect from you and from everyone. And this applies perfectly well to men as well. This is when you need to honor the Sovereign in you with discipline, respect and taking care of yourself. By understanding that you are here to serve without fear or doubt, you become a great leader.

Finally, when you feel lost, always remember that you have these four personalities in you. Choose the one you need most and honor it.

So, what is the personality you need to be today?
