We live in a world that encourages us to look down, toward the fear, the noise, the division, the endless stream of crises that fills our screens. And inside, the landscape often mirrors the outside, confusion, self-doubt, a persistent sense that we must try harder, be better, prove our worth. No wonder so many of us feel small, overwhelmed, or lost. But what if the problem isn't who we are? What if the problem is where we are looking? There comes a moment in every life when the old paradigm, the paradigm of fear, limitation, and smallness, begins to crack. A moment when something inside us whispers, you are more than this. Look up. Remember who you are. This article is an invitation to reclaim your place in the universe, not as a stranger wandering in hostile terrain, but as a luminous being who belongs here.

A new perspective: From smallness to infinity

"Do not feel lonely, the entire universe is inside you. Stop acting so small. You are the universe in ecstatic motion." – Rumi.

When we raise our gaze toward the sky, literally or metaphorically, we reconnect with truths that liberate us. The stars remind us that we are not insignificant, we are part of the same cosmic masterpiece. The galaxies whisper that life is not limited to our worries and deadlines, it is vast, mysterious, and ever-expanding. Rather than being small, we are infinite. Rather than being fragile, we are eternal, because we are inseparable from life itself.

“Your life is your signature in Eternity.” – Silvana Avram.

In my coaching and in my interactions, I often say that our life is our unique, unrepeatable signature in eternity. Just like snowflakes or flowers or constellations, we are each an exquisite, unrepeatable expression of the whole. When we remember this, something shifts, self-doubt softens, fear loosens its grip, and a deeper calm arises. We realise that our life is indeed a gift we received from, and a gift we give back to the universe. Being aware of this, embracing our journey with gratitude, joy, and humility, creates our unique signature in eternity.

The universe is our home

"God is at home, it's we who have gone out for a walk." – Meister Eckhart.

One of the greatest illusions of modern life is the belief that we are alone and unprotected. But the truth is simpler, and infinitely more comforting, we belong here. We are safe in the universe. The universe is our home. Life unfolds in cycles, birth and death, beginnings and endings, day and night. These are not threats. They are movements of transformation, the rhythm that all things obey. When we align ourselves with this rhythm, we stop fighting life. We stop fearing change. We start trusting. This is the essence of what I call living in Eternity, seeing your life not as a fragile moment between two voids, but as a meaningful expression of a timeless story.

"I long, as does every human being, to be at home wherever I find myself." – Maya Angelou.

So how do we live this truth, not as theory, but as practice? By returning to wonder. By remembering joy. By choosing, deliberately, to co-create our life with the universe.

Here are a few simple practices:

  • Smile every morning when you wake up, and every night when you go to sleep. It’s a way of telling life, “I am here. I am open.”

  • When life feels heavy, look at the sky. Perspective heals. As Shakespeare wrote, “All the world’s a stage”, and the stage is much larger than our troubles.

  • Notice moments of grace. A colour, a gesture, a perfume, a song, a conversation, a laugh. These are not accidents. They are the universe speaking gently to you.

  • Keep a “book of light.”

I have made a habit of writing down small moments of beauty and serendipity, my humble offerings to Eternity, little kisses blown toward the infinite. I encourage you to do the same, to lovingly acknowledge these moments of grace. Over time, this becomes your real treasure, a map of inner peace, a precious record of how held you truly are. Because life, when lived consciously, reveals itself to be a dance of giving and receiving, of co-creating with the universe.

A collective awakening

“The world changes when we change. The world softens when we soften. The world loves us when we choose to love the world." – Marianne Williamson.

What will happen if more of us began to live this way? With trust instead of fear, wonder instead of worry, expansion instead of contraction? We will start a quiet revolution. A shift in consciousness. A wave of awakening to the miracle of being alive. And perhaps that is exactly what the world needs now, not more fear, but more inner stability, more joy, more souls who feel at home in themselves and in the universe. So let’s begin. Let’s look up together. Let’s reclaim our place in the vast, beautiful story of existence. It all starts with a smile. That moment of grace when you and life connect so intimately. When you smile, you are at home. At home within yourself. Look up and see that the universe is smiling back at you. When you honour life, it embraces you lovingly.
