Jessie Liew is a Parenting Coach whose mission is to deepen our connection with our children and to nurture our children to use screens and technological devices responsibly and safely.

She wanted to show the world that in this attention economy, we should guard our attention and preserve it for connection and purpose-driven work.

Using Digital Parenting coaching to help parents to nurture good screen habits in their children, Jessie truly believes the technologies are going to stay and we have to learn how to nurture good screen habits, to use technologies for the better future of themselves.

As a Cyber Security Expert, Jessie found her true calling by working with parents to empower their children to use screen / technological devices responsibly and safely.

The Internet is a sea full of dangers.

As our children do not know to navigate the Internet Danger sea, we have to help our children to set the safe environment of the devices/app and educate them about staying safe online.

Jessie has worked with parents to help their child to overcome screen addiction and to reduce their child’s screen time without nagging, arguing, or taking away the devices.

She believes everyone should live a life fulfilled with a deeper and meaningful connection where you can maintain your focus and master technology to pursue what you want from life.

Jessie Liew From Struggling Mother To Parenting Coach

Who is Jessie Liew?

Let’s start with who I was.

My name is Jessie Liew, and am a mother of 4 beautiful children. I live in Malaysia.

Back in the year 2019, I felt lost and not happy with my life, although my life looks good from the outside. I was having a good income, comfortable life, and a beautiful family.

Yes, looking good from the outside, but inside I was depressed.

Something is missing but I don’t know what. In March 2019, one of my good friends, Lee passed away due to nose cancer. I was devastated.

I begin my personal development journey by start following Tony Robbins and Dean Graziosi. I started to slow down and did a lot of reflection on my WHY and my LIFE PURPOSE.

I then discovered that I wanted to have a deeper connection with my children as that is the most valuable memory if I have to leave the world.

Back in March 2020, when COVID came and my country announced a lockdown, my children had to stay at home and pivot to the online classroom.

It means that my children will be with the screen most of the time.

I was afraid of screen addictions and I saw many parents are struggling to cope with their child’s excessive screen time or screen/gaming addictions.

I started to put in everything I knew from mindfulness, parenting, Internet Safety, and Habits into “digital parent” my children.

I realized that the technology is going to stay, so I started my approach by asking “how can I nurture good screen habits?”.

It worked well for my family.

A few months later, my best friend Lydia called me up and shared that she has to fight with her teenage son to snatch back the smartphone. Her son was addicted to the smartphone.

I realized perhaps this is what I can offer to the world and I began my journey by coaching other parents to overcome their child’s screen addiction or reduce their screen time.

I realized the screen has not just created disconnect and also disharmony in the family.

Some parents I worked with felt helpless, guilty and like bad parents, do not know how to deal with their child’s screen addiction.

It is as if they have lost their children to the screen!

I discovered my LIFE PURPOSE.

I help parents to regain confidence as a parent and to nurture good screen habits in their child, and to create a deeper connection as a family.

Screen addiction is a huge issue for this generation of children, it is sad and REALLY hard for the parents to manage. Our previous parent generation does not have this problem therefore parents are scrambling to find the right way to handle it.

I hope to see in the next 10 years, we have more connected and focus-driven generations who master the technology to pursue what they want.
