The Bhagavad Gita teaches us a profound truth: the mind can be our best friend or worst enemy. The choice lies in how we harness its power. When we understand the sheer influence of our thoughts, it's crucial to recognize which ones are on repeat and how they shape our reality. By rewiring these patterns, we can align our mindset with our desired life.

One of the first steps is learning to observe our thoughts without attachment. By witnessing them as they arise, we stop fueling them with emotions and prevent them from embedding energetically in our bodies. It's eye-opening to realize that, on average, we have around 70,000 thoughts each dayand 80% of them are negative, often replaying in a loop.

Understanding this provides us with an opportunity for self-compassion. This mental chatter is a universal human experience, and knowing this can lead us to more grace and patience with ourselves.

This awareness also empowers us to take proactive steps. Mastering the mind is a daily practice that begins with conscious observation. By identifying thoughts that no longer serve us and pausing in the moment, we can interrupt negative cycles. For example, shifting from “Nothing ever works out for me” to “Everything is working out for me in divine timing” can profoundly change our emotional and mental state.

Mantras are powerful tools in this process. A simple affirmation like, “I am the master of my mind, not its servant,” helps retrain our thoughts. It encourages us to question whether our thoughts are true or interpretations based on personal perceptions.

Recognizing that everyone views life through their own lens allows us to release expectations and attachments to people, places, and situations, seeing them for what they truly are rather than what we wish them to be.

While reality often doesn't match our expectations, it’s in sitting with discomfort and pain that transformation occurs. We don't have to spiral into negativity. Instead, we can acknowledge these feelings without judgment or resistance, allowing them to pass through us rather than staying stuck in patterns of criticism or low energy.

A practical method to declutter the mind is journaling or “brain dumping.” Writing down thoughts, emotions, and experiences at the end of the day helps clear mental space, preventing them from lingering. Once written, there’s no need to hold onto themtear the paper up, and release it. Think of your mind as a garden: by consciously tending to positive thoughts and uprooting negative ones, you can cultivate mental clarity and peace.

Mindfulness is key to mastering the mind. When challenges arise (and they will), instead of spiraling, you’ll recognize the thought patterns and use your breath to connect with your body, spirit, and inner wisdom. This allows you to pursue thoughts that uplift rather than deplete.

By working with your mind, you create an internal space of peace and resilience. This makes you less reactive to external triggers, knowing that whatever comes your way, you can handle it from a place of grounded presence.

If you find yourself struggling with recurring mental barriers, whether in daily life or on your fertility journey, know that you don’t have to stay stuck. You can reclaim your inner power and cultivate unwavering confidence. For support, I invite you to connect with me: Book a call here.
