Some women break generational curses in silence. Some carry grace like armor through seasons of unspeakable pain. Some walk through fire not for applause, but so others might see the way out. Ebony Jones Mobley is all of those women and then some.

Woman in a red gown with a crown and sash reading "Mrs. South Carolina" smiles confidently against a brick wall.

“He gives beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness…” Isaiah 61:3

At 49 years old, Ebony is more than her crowns. More than her titles. More than the elegant presence she brings to every room she enters. She is a licensed property manager, overseeing a bustling multi-family community in Columbia, South Carolina. She is a trailblazer in real estate, an advocate for health awareness, and a pageant queen whose reign is rooted in purpose.

But above all, she is a mother.

And nothing matters more to her than the two beautiful daughters who call her “Mom”: Ania and Dallis, her pride, her joy, and her daily reminder of why she keeps going.

A crown with a cause

Currently serving as the Ms. Sparkle Nation Brand Ambassador for South Carolina, Ebony is preparing to step onto the international stage this July in the Bahamas. This won’t be her first time under the spotlight. She is the former Mrs. South Carolina Plus America 2023, Mrs. Palmetto Pride, and Mrs. Columbia Plus America, titles that reflect her poise but only scratch the surface of her purpose.

Her achievements extend beyond pageantry. She has been featured in the September 2023 edition of Pageant Girl Magazine, highlighted as Ms. October in the 2024 Women Empowerment/Queen Ambassador Calendar, and walked celebrated runways like Curvy for a Cause in Greenville, SC. In 2025, she will live out a dream come true: walking in New York Fashion Week.

Behind the beauty, a deeper battle

Ebony’s platform is both personal and profound: diabetes awareness.

After losing both of her parents to diabetes before they turned 60 and receiving her own diagnosis in 2006, Ebony transformed pain into purpose. She shares her journey transparently, educates her community, and dreams of launching a nonprofit called “Frankie’s House,” named in honor of her beloved mother. It will be a space of healing, education, and generational change.

But this story isn’t just about health. It’s about heartbreak, betrayal, and unspoken battles. It’s about a woman who lost, who grieved, who questioned, but chose to rise anyway.

  • She rose for Ania and Dallis, so they would grow up knowing what strength looks like in motion.

  • She rose for the women watching in silence, wondering if they, too, could make it out.

  • She rose for the little girl inside herself, the one who once only dreamed of being seen.

  • And she rose for Frankie, her mother, whose spirit still whispers, keep going.

The spirit within her

Ebony’s faith is not a hashtag or a Sunday ritual. It is the breath in her lungs. Her relationship with God is sacred, unwavering, and deeply personal. She’s the type of woman who will pray you through, stand with you in the storm, and still show up with grace, even while healing herself.

This isn’t just a feature. It’s a testimony.

Ebony, we don’t honor you because of what you’ve endured. We honor you because of what you’ve built from the ashes. You are living proof that pain can produce power, that beauty and strength can coexist, and that real queens don’t wait for crowns. They walk in purpose.

You are a visionary, a vessel, and a voice for every woman who thought she had to suffer in silence. Your story reminds us all that miracles aren’t just moments. They’re women like you.
