To achieve goals, every business needs a “Strategy”. Each business has individual strategic planning based on its module. A strategic plan is an outline and a direction of business management and operation. It contains goal setting, an action plan, and a guideline for decision-making. To have a robust one, you need a qualified and experienced strategist. However, one has a different perspective on business. In this article, we’re going to talk about “Business Strategists” and “Business Operation Strategists”.

What is the difference between “Business Strategist” and “Business Operation Strategist”? As a strategist, both build the same value to carry business to the purposed mission. And what differentiates these 2 roles? What is their perspective on business development?

Business strategist perspective

Business strategists are the person who looks at business in a cumulative image. They create a long-term plan and fulfill the business timeline with relevant activities. They focus on “What to do” to hit the goals. They aim to settle business with the right position in the market and make sure that business will be recognized in the way it should be.

Business operation strategist perspective

So, what about business operation strategists? Once the goal is set and the action plan is completed, you will know “what to do” and “when to do”. But, what about “How to do”? Put simply, how to run an operation to be aligned with business strategy. The question “How to do” is business operation strategists’ duty to answer. They transform a strategic idea into a tangible process by building an efficient business operating system.

Business operation strategists not just give you planning, but also show you “How to do” things to implement business. They consider all elements from macro to micro aspects whether it be department, team, or individual.

A great strategist has empathy and a wide vision. They always welcome different perspectives from others and try to build a business that supports each one lifestyle. If you’re now ready to share your vision with a partner who could support you in your way, we, Get Unstack Implementors are that person for you.
