Denise Stegall, CEO & Curator of Living Healthy List.com

Who is Denise?

I grew up on Long Island, New York, a short distance from the beach. The proximity to the shore gave me a true passion and appreciation for the ocean. I love being near the sea though, for the past 18 years, I have lived in landlocked Minnesota. The locals often remind me that MN is the land of 10,000 lakes, but it’s not the same as the ocean. So, my husband and I plan several beach trips during the year. Walking on the beach brings us peace and renewal to continue doing what we love.

Growing up, I always wanted to be a writer. However, when I was in college, I chose a different path. My degree is in hotel, restaurant, and business management. As a collegiate athlete, I understood the benefits of a healthful diet, so taking classes in nutrition, planning, and cooking meals appealed to me.

I started cooking when I was 11 years old and quickly realized how a good homecooked meal brought families and friends together, and I have pursued a career involving food ever since.

I’ve worked in restaurants, hotels, and catering, where I could fine-tune my knowledge and experience in nutrition and cooking. My experience in cooking and food gives me a unique perspective on what works (and doesn’t work) for most people.

In addition to my degree, I have earned several coaching certifications, including plant-based cooking professional, though I am not a vegan or vegetarian. My goal when I took this course was the ability to give my clients more delicious ways to incorporate plant-based foods into their diet without getting bored or feeling deprived. I believe that supplemental nutrition products from nationally recognized companies play a role in nutrition and use essential oils in my healthy lifestyle.

Like most women, I’ve tried just about every diet program out there, primarily for personal experience, and I’m always open to trying a new workout program or gym. I enjoy hiking, biking, running (occasionally), and being out in nature.

Coaching was a natural step in my career. So many people are looking for guidance from an expert they can trust and with whom they connect. Finding and connecting to potential clients online was a challenge, and I realized that potential clients had an equal amount of difficulty finding the coach that was the best choice for them. Whether that person was me or not.

So, I launched Living Healthy List to help bring clients and coaches together. My collaboration with our experts who provide our website content in the areas of health, wellness, personal development, and bringing more fun into life is at the heart of what I do at Living Healthy List.

As the CEO and Curator of Living Healthy List, my responsibility is to select talented experts, to edit and choose the best information for our readers. I host a weekly interview on Facebook called The Wonder Series, co-host a podcast called The Crooked Climb with Suzanne and Denise, and publish a monthly online magazine called Healthy Living, Happy Life.

Throughout my career, I never expected to have the opportunity to help so many people, and I am amazed that my original dream of becoming a writer has not only come true but in such a fantastic way!

What is it that you do for your clients?
