Amethyst is silicon dioxide. It instigates the ability and desires to see yourself as you are; taking you outside the limits of your everyday perception. It enables you to identify mental, emotional and behavioural baggage and promotes the desire to resolve it, to ‘cleanse’ mentally and physically. “Forgiveness is the fragrance the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it” – Mark Twain.

This remedy is the elixir of love; love of self and others, enhancing the ability to communicate and connect in a new and more loving way. It stimulates a conscious creative expression of love, and transforms all your connections into loving connections. Needless to say this violet coloured stone sits by my bedside promoting complete alignment with the mental and spiritual self.

Amethyst immersion is used in homoeopathic practise. Amethyst is for the effects of family turmoil and breakdown that may have been brought about by personal conflict, family differences, death or severe illness in the family, and or financial crisis. In such situations, the family may be torn apart or brought closer together. Amethyst invokes the binding power of love to enable them to work as a unit and bring them more closely together. Nurturing, belonging, reassurance and unity develop through Amethyst’s power. There is even a willingness to face life’s greatest crisis together.

It can also be used in cases of virtigo, where the patient must lean towards the left side. There is a lightheaded feeling. Vertigo looking down, worse for reading, coffee, ad smoking.

Other physical particulars include; Nose and smell: Itchy on the left side and in the left nostril. Desires to put her nose to the cold floor. Nose congested; sinuses blocked; pain the sinuses on waking. Pain in the left frontal, ethmoid and maxillary sinuses with nose blocked on the left side, numbness of left face and pain in the left temple. A distinct aroma of roses when he takes the medicine.

Teeth: Pain in upper right teeth.

Skin: Prickling and itching in spots. His mole becomes itchy. Image of light on the skin creating spots like skin cancers. Dream of an infant covered in mauve coloured fungal eruption.
