Are you on your personal healing journey and wondering what that process looks like? I will take you through the different levels of a healing journey starting with recognizing there is a problem. The willingness to address it, the commitment needed, the actions taken in moving yourself forward, the concentration required, the necessity of absorption.

What anchoring and being humble look like, the benefits of positive thinking, the outcome of creating a rhythm, the building of patience as a skill, acquiring discipline as a result, and the incentive of perseverance all equate to manifesting successful results for yourself. Now, let me take you much deeper.
What is a personal healing journey? Usually, it starts as a result of a personal breakdown, burnout, a “straw that broke the camel’s back” type of situation, an “I can’t do the lie anymore” realization, or even an “I am hurt and broken and I need help” realization in someone’s life. It may be the culmination of several things. The following subcategories can be viewed as checkpoints in your healing journey. Some levels may take longer than others. Some may be easier than others. Most importantly, they all hold very important meanings for quantum leaping forward. Let me take you through them one at a time.
Recognizing
I am a firm believer that many people eventually come to a crossroads in which they recognize there is a problem in their lives. Not long after, they are faced with a dilemma, a fork in the road, to go left or right. The road to the left represents denial, ignorance, irresponsibility toward personal healing, letting fear dictate your future, and so on.
The road to the right represents the opposite. It represents courage, knowing you are worthy of not feeling this way anymore, healing your past, strength, curiosity, facing the unknown, loving yourself enough to know you deserve a better life, exploring limiting beliefs, moving beyond what is keeping you stuck, personal growth, expansion, breaking free from the status quo, having faith in your soul wanting more out of life, and so on. First and foremost, I truly believe everyone at a crossroads has that choice, to go left or right, and that choice determines their outcome.
Willingness
At that crossroads, willingness is choosing to go right. It represents the willingness to explore why a problem has been plaguing your life and why it has kept you stuck in a looping pattern, the willingness to give yourself a chance at a better life, the willingness to stop fighting and start healing, the willingness to trust yourself and listen to yourself instead of self-sabotaging, the willingness to do something different to get different results, the willingness to prioritize yourself, and the willingness to make that commitment to yourself.
Commitment
Once you have made that commitment to yourself, you are in it through thick and thin, for better or worse. For some, making that commitment may be easy. For others, it may be the hardest thing they have ever done. Making that commitment to yourself is prioritizing yourself, wanting better for yourself, and loving yourself. You are declaring your self-worth by making that commitment. It can also be understood as taking accountability to be better and to do better. You are choosing the path to self-betterment. More importantly, if you are fully committed to yourself and your healing journey, you are setting yourself up for a much better life.
Action
Commitment means taking action. To commit to something without taking action is counterintuitive and does yourself a great disservice. Taking action involves tapping into a different mindset, putting your body in gear even when you don’t want to or don’t know how, facing the deep emotions and feelings you have been avoiding, even if they are scary and uncomfortable, and reaching out for help. That is the starting point. The key to success is being guided by someone who knows how to heal from past trauma and who has done it for herself.
Concentration
Once you have started the healing process and are in it, concentrating on your end goal is the most important aspect of healing. Sometimes, the road ahead will not be easy. Situations may make you question the whole healing process and cause you to want to quit. Some people may revert back to old patterns because familiarity feels safe, even in unsafe situations. Remembering your baseline and what brought you to begin your healing journey is necessary. How do you do this? Remind yourself daily what your end goal is. In doing so, you can change your neuroplasticity.
Absorption
To absorb the insights you gain during Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) sessions, to integrate the lessons learned into daily life, to practice introspection daily, and to trust the healing process when the Universe “tests” you are essential to moving forward. For absorption to happen, you need to be mindful of your thoughts, emotions, feelings, behaviors, and actions. Be mindful in every situation, be mindful around people, and pay attention to how you feel around them. In return, notice how people make you feel. Be mindful of the conversations you engage in, the words you use, and the words others use.
Go further. Be mindful of the decisions you make and why. Investigate within yourself why you made those decisions. What was your deductive logic process? What was your analysis pointing to? What were your intentions? Was the outcome ideal?
What about when you get triggered by someone or a certain situation? What happened that triggered you? Was it something said? Did you know triggers are blessings in disguise? Triggers may feel uncomfortable. They test you, make you react, or bring out the worst in you. However, most people in the healing community speak about how triggers highlight where you still need healing. If you change your perception and see triggers as allies, how would that shift your experience?
Go even further. What if I told you the Universe mirrors you and what you put out is what the Universe reveals to you? Essentially, this is the law of attraction. You attract what you put out. This is a hard lesson to learn, and it humbles you to the core of your being.
Anchoring and being humble
Yes, if the Universe is a mirror of what you put out, absorbing this lesson is a huge step toward putting your ego aside and being humble enough to anchor yourself within yourself. I would argue this is the hardest life lesson and the most rewarding. There is an interesting dichotomy between feeling and integrating the hardest life lesson, yet it is the gateway to quantum leaping to the next level. This is where real, sustainable, personal, and professional growth happens.
Positive thinking
The degree to which you reap success in your healing journey reflects how often you think positively. The more you think positively, the more you manifest positive outcomes. I have helped clients who have experienced more negative situations than positive ones, and for some, changing their perceptions was an effort at first. I always teach if you revert back to negative thinking because it is familiar, stop yourself in the middle of that thought and immediately think of a positive one instead. The more you do it, the easier it becomes.
Positive thinking also applies to self-talk. Positive self-praise is the most important thing you can do for yourself. Some clients have never heard positive comments, compliments, or praise. I teach them to flip the script. I tell them to say the things they have always wanted to hear, believe the positive praise they now tell themselves, and let their mind, body, and soul integrate it daily.
Creating a rhythm
Discipline is achieved by creating a rhythm for yourself. By creating a rhythm, you signal to your body that it is safe to heal. You also solidify inner peace and freedom, which can be felt all the way to your soul.
Patience
If you do not have much patience, you will develop it by giving yourself grace. Having patience sometimes means standing still in your healing journey, looking back to realize how far you have come, and equally looking forward to the magnitude of what you are achieving, creating, and accomplishing. Trust the path you cannot see. Trust in your ability to manifest the life you want.
Discipline
Discipline is what you create by being accountable to yourself and your healing journey. Discipline anchors every time you show up for yourself. It is built with every progressive step forward. Compounded discipline ensures successful, sustainable results. Discipline does not appear magically. It is created by you.
Perseverance
The Universe rewards perseverance and discipline. If you practice perseverance in alignment with your desired outcome, you hold the golden key to your own success.
Successful results
Success is subjective and defined by the person carving their own healing journey. Define what success means to you. Imagine how success will feel in your body, mind, and soul. Know you are worthy of achieving it. Determine how you will know you have achieved success. Finally, visualize yourself having already achieved it.
