A New Path to Wholeness through Movement and Inner Wisdom – Interview with Caren Carnegie

Caren Carnegie is an Intuitive Momentum Coach, Certified Spiritual Life Coach, and Personal Trainer who gently guides others back to themselves through movement, reflection, and reconnection with the body’s wisdom.

Before founding Transform Fitness Coaching, Caren spent nearly two decades working as a dental hygienist, all while navigating chronic illness, digestive pain, anxiety, and quiet cycles of self-sabotage. In 2019, everything began to shift. What started as a personal search for relief became a deeper journey physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Caren now supports others in finding that same sense of return. Her approach blends physical fitness with intuitive guidance and spiritual connection, helping people move forwardnot just in their bodies, but in their lives.

This is her definition of fit-ness: one rooted in wholeness, not performance. A return to Selfnot just through reps and routines, but through presence, energy, and truth.

Rooted just outside Stratford, Ontario, she lives with her husband Jeff and their two children, Andrew and Ava, surrounded by trees, nature, and the kind of stillness that once felt unfamiliar but is now essential.

Caren Carnegie, Intuitive Momentum Coach, Speaker, Spiritual Life Coach & Founder of Transform Fitness Coaching

What inspired you to start Transform Fitness Coaching?

In 2019, I was doing everything I could to shut down the signals my body was sending me. Chronic digestive issues, inflammation, and anxiety were part of my daily life, and alcohol had become a nightly escape. I was exhausted from chasing quick fixes and sitting in waiting rooms, hoping someone else would give me the answer.

Then I came across a brochure for a local personal trainer. I didn’t resonate with “fitness,” but something about her energy stood out. She looked happy and strong. That feeling pulled me in.

Despite all the reasons not to, I gave it a try. It wasn’t perfect. I did what I could, when I could, even during the pandemic, using whatever online tools I could find. Eventually, I worked with a trainer consistently for almost four yearsnot because that was necessary for everyone, but because it was part of my path. It helped me realize that movement was only the beginning.

How did your journey deepen from there?

As I followed the physical signs, I noticed something unexpectedmy mind started to quiet. I felt clearer, lighter. My thoughts became more supportive, and I began making choices that reflected how I wanted to feel, not just how I was coping.

I found myself drawn to spirituality, not in a religious sense, but in a way that felt deeply personal and safe. That connection gave me the courage to stop drinking and to stop abandoning myself. I didn’t have words for it at the time, but I felt held.

That inner trust led me to become a Certified Spiritual Life Coach in early 2023, not because I planned to coach others, but because I needed the tools for me. I followed the breadcrumbs. And I’m so glad I did.

What sets your work apart?

I blend personal training, spiritual life coaching, and psychic channeling into a truly integrated experience. I believe we’re energetic beings, and healing happens when we honour the full picturemind, body, and spirit.

As I continued to trust my intuition, I began receiving messages for othersgentle insights from their own higher guidance. Sometimes through visuals, sometimes words, sometimes from loved ones who’ve passed. Always with their permission and openness.

When I channel, it often begins as a quiet knowinga nudge, a subtle picture in my mind’s eye, or a feeling that doesn’t quite belong to me, but feels deeply loving. These messages often land right where someone needs them most. They help people reconnectnot just with their goals, but with their spark.

I don’t follow a template. I listen deeply to what’s said and what’s felt. Every experience is unique.

How does this change the experience for your members?

I reflect back what I seenot just with my eyes, but energetically. Many people come to me because their body is speaking, just like mine once was. I help them understand what it’s saying, and what it’s truly asking for.

Through that process, they remember aspects of themselves they may have forgotten. They begin to show up for themselves with care, not criticism. And from that place, everything else shiftsrelationships, choices, confidence.

No amount of reps or “results” compares to the feeling of genuine self-appreciation. That’s the momentum that lasts.

What advice would you give someone just starting their fitness journey?

Start with your why. It doesn’t have to be perfect, and it’s okay if you don’t know yet. Let it evolve with you.

This isn’t all-or-nothing. Offer yourself grace. Thank your body oftennot just for how it looks, but for how it carries you through.

And when you look in the mirror, imagine your reflection as your Spirit looking back at you. It’s proud of you. And when you’re ready, it will reveal exactly what you need to see, one moment at a time.

How has your work evolved recently?

I’ve begun sharing my message beyond the gym through writing, speaking, and intentional conversations. My mission hasn’t changed, but its reach has. I still walk alongside clients, and I always will. But now I also speak to the collectivethose who are ready to see fit-ness in a new way.

As more people begin questioning old definitions of strength, success, and worth, I’m here to offer a different pathone that feels softer, more honest, and more sustainable. A path that honours the body but doesn’t end there.

Platforms like Brainz Magazine allow me to share this message in ways that are spacious and soulful. I believe we’re all meant to remember who we are. Sometimes we just need someone to walk with us for a while.

I never set out to be a leader. But now I understandwhen we live in alignment, we give others permission to do the same.

Any final message for our readers?

Fit-ness is more than physical. It’s sacred.

Let your time with your body become ritual, not routine.

You don’t need the right outfit or the right gymyou only need a willingness to come home to yourself.

That’s where the transformation begins, not in do-ing, but in be-ing.
