Corporations and big businesses invest millions of dollars on researching their ideal clients (I call them soulmate clients), marketing and getting their clients to purchase from them. Although small business owners don’t have millions of dollars to invest in market research & advertising, the great news is that social media has leveraged the playing field.

With the wide use of technology and social media, small businesses can generate amazing revenue with limited investment. For instance, I generated six-figures within nine months of starting my coaching business. I didn’t invest in paid ads; I built it organically using social media posts. I spoke from my heart in my posts and my ideal clients reached out to me.

Here are 5 tips to create a magnetic message to attract your soulmate clients:

1. Know yourself: dig deep to understand why you do what you do. It is so important to know your deeper purpose. I spoke with a friend who is an Estate Lawyer. I wanted to know what sets him apart from the many other lawyers in his industry. So, I asked him, “what drives you to help people with their estates?” He thought about it for a moment. Then started to share, “My dad was young, married to the love of his life, doing well in his career, then he died suddenly. He left behind my mom and two toddlers. If you can imagine, my mom was suddenly single without many options. My dad didn’t have any estate set-up, so my mom struggled.” His eyes filled with tears, and he apologized. “No need to apologize,” I was actually thrilled, “you have a ‘Why that makes you cry!’” If your Why (purpose) moves you to tears, it is what Napoleon Hill calls “your burning desire.” It is your story that pushes you when things get tough. It is what sets you apart and makes you unique. Before creating a marketing campaign, it is so important to understand your deeper purpose.

2. Know your Soulmate Clients: it is important to understand where your clients hang out (virtual and/or in-person). With the variety of social media platforms, it is essential to know which platform your clients are on. Get feedback from people that you know (those that would be your ideal clients). Tell them that you’d love more clients just like them, so you’d love their feedback.

When speaking to your soulmate clients, it is vital to understand them on a deeper level:

a. What are they struggling with? What are their pain points?

b. What’s holding them back?

c. What results are they striving for?

d. How can you help them?

3. Speak to the deeper parts of your soulmate clients: once you understand them, create a message (using their language) to speak to them on a deeper level. Here is an example using the messages for my clients:

a. Pain points: “After a full night’s rest, do you wake up still feeling exhausted? Do you wish you had more time in a day?”

b. Holding them back: “Perhaps you’re spending a lot of time replaying a past mistake, worried about all of the things you’re juggling or doubting that you’re doing things correctly.”

c. Results: “If you’d like to create a six-figure income while feeling confident about yourself…”

d. How you help: “I have a 90-day online program that transforms lives. My clients feel energized and confident after taking my at-your-own-pace course.”

4. Share the results that you will help your clients achieve: After talking about their pain points and challenges, share the results that your clients will experience. Choose powerful words that resonate with your soulmate clients. Illustrate a powerful “before and after” transformational journey that your clients will undergo.

a. Focus on the results your clients desire.

b. Address some of their purchasing blocks (ex: time and money investment). In my example, I mention that my program is a quick 90-day program that can be taken online (from the comfort of their home and at their own schedule).

5. Give a simple call to action: Marketing experts know that people have short attention spans, so you need to give them a quick link or “call to action.” For example, “click this link to register now.” Also, remember that people get overwhelmed with too many options. If given too many things to select from, they will not decide. So, tell them exactly what they need to do next and give them a quick link to click. Make it as simple as possible, so you can get them to take immediate action.

Once you implement these tips, keep track of what works and make improvements as you learn. Before you know it, you will be a magnet to your soulmate clients. You will attract clients that love and appreciate you; clients that see and appreciate the value you bring to them.
