Shale Maulana

Liberation-Based Therapist and Coach

Shale Maulana is a licensed mental health therapist and holistic mental health coach. With over a decade of professional experience, she combines her expertise in holistic mental health, cultural awareness, and mindfulness to empower individuals and communities to thrive. She has been an executive leader with the NYC Health Department, addressing health equity issues and racial disparities in underserved areas, which deepened her commitment to healing justice.
 
Shale Maulana holds a Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University, a Master’s in Public Health from Thomas Jefferson University, and certifications in Kemetic Yoga, Reiki, and holistic wellness practices. Her therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based modalities with traditional approaches including mindfulness, somatic techniques, self-care strategies, and liberation-based frameworks to foster resilience, self-compassion, and empowerment.
 
Her work is rooted in the belief that true healing requires addressing the interconnectedness of mind, body, and environment. Through her articles, workshops, and coaching, Shale inspires others to embrace mindful living, self-empowerment, and sustainable well-being. She is passionate about sharing actionable tools for emotional health, trauma recovery, and personal growth.
 
Beyond her professional achievements, Shale is a dedicated advocate for community-centered healing and enjoys exploring nature, practicing yoga, spending time with her family, and cultivating sustainable wellness practices.
