Jenna McDonough
Emotional Regulation Specialist
Jenna McDonough is a meditation and mindfulness teacher, children’s book author, emotional regulation specialist, sound healer, and Reiki Master dedicated to helping people of all ages live more peaceful, present, and heart-centered lives. She works with adults and children to recognize, understand, and move through their emotions using tools such as meditation, mindfulness activities, somatic resets, breathwork, and sound and energy healing. Known for her trauma-sensitive approach, Jenna ensures that every product, service, and session she offers supports healing in a safe, accessible way, helping individuals move forward without the fear of triggering a trauma response. Believing that emotional regulation is the foundation for a kinder world, her mission is simple yet powerful: to make the world a nicer and more compassionate place, one meditation at a time.
With a lifelong devotion to children’s well-being, Jenna has spent her entire adult life in service to young people, as a nanny, elementary school teacher, ESE teacher, tutor, and parent. Through these experiences, she witnessed firsthand how heavily education focuses on academics like reading, writing, and math, while often overlooking the essential skills of emotional awareness and regulation. Determined to bridge that gap, she began creating resources that meet children and families where they are–accessible, practical, and trauma-sensitive, designed to fit into daily life regardless of time, location, or circumstance.
For adults, Jenna offers self-paced Meditation and Healing Arts courses, a meditation audio library via her app PEACEFUL: Mindful Moments for Every Age, as well as one-on-one support through her lifestyle design program. She also creates custom meditations tailored to individual needs and facilitates transformative healing sessions through meditation and sound baths, specializing in restoring balance and moving stuck energy in a safe, supportive environment. Each of these offerings reflects her commitment to making holistic healing and emotional well-being approachable, sustainable, and sensitive to the unique journeys of each person she works with.
For children and caregivers, Jenna is the founder of PEACEFUL: Mindful Moments for Every Age, which includes Peaceful Kids, a first-of-its-kind emotional regulation resource designed to empower children aged 3-17. The app provides guided meditations, mindfulness activities, breathwork, somatic resets, and binaural beats to help kids navigate mornings, bedtimes, transitions, and every emotion in between. With age-specific, color-coded resources and caregiver support videos, Peaceful Kids ensures that children can safely and confidently integrate emotional regulation practices at their own developmental level.
Jenna’s passion for literacy, emotional well-being, and kindness inspired her debut children’s book, Kind Kids: The Adventures of Hurley, Pearl, and the Pink Soldiers of Kindness. Blending her teaching background and healing arts expertise, the book weaves storytelling with practical emotional regulation techniques and encourages children to spread kindness through her Soldiers for Kindness Initiative.
Through her multifaceted work–as a healer, educator, author, and innovator–Jenna McDonough continues to provide transformative, trauma-sensitive tools that nurture emotional intelligence, resilience, and compassion. Her work stands as a testament to the belief that when people learn to regulate their emotions in safe and supportive ways, they not only improve their own lives but also help create a kinder, more peaceful world for everyone.
