  • Maren Kristensen, Psychologist and Mindfulness Coach, Senior Level Executive Contributor at Brainz Magazine

Maren Kristensen is a astounding force in the mental health field, seamlessly blending her roles as a psychologist, mindfulness coach, birth and postpartum doula, and founder of TherapyWithMaren. Specialising in women’s mental health, Maren's extensive education, rich experience, and unwavering passion make her a standout advocate for female empowerment and mental wellness. Having lived across the globe, Maren brings a wealth of culturally diverse insights that enrich her ability to support women of all ages and backgrounds. She believes that mental health care should be practical, manageable, and celebrated part of one's life. For Maren, everyone deserves to enjoy loving relationships, fulfilling careers, enriching lives, and a deep sense of self-worth. Maren’s dedication to a life of vulnerability and authenticity draws from her own journey to self-love. She has navigated the tumult of grief, anxiety, and self-doubt, which has gifted her deep empathy and a keen perceptive ability to pinpoint what is happening beneath the surface. Because she understands the complexities her clients face, Maren guides them towards the lives they actually want. Helping them find light in darkness, create breathing space amidst overwhelm, and bring order to an overcrowded mind. Through her work she empowers women to know, accept, and love themselves for who they are. Emphasising that small, sustainable, and effective changes are the key to long-lasting mental wellness. Maren’s personal journey, combined with education and clinical experience, led her to create Flourish, a holistic virtual therapy program designed to help women take control of their mental health. She saw the need for more impactful, more intentional, and more practical mental health care. Flourish stands out for its integration of three often-missing fundamentals in traditional therapy: clear goal-setting, fostering a loving relationship with oneself, and providing holistic, practical support. By merging these elements in a safe and nurturing environment, Maren consistently witnesses transformative results in her clients' lives. From her home in Aarhus, Denmark Maren helps women all over the world, not only through her holistic therapy, but through her writing, her active social media presence and her supportive emailing community. She passionately spreads her philosophy that help women be healthy, resilient and self-loving. When she is not helping women flourish, Maren enjoys sipping Yorkshire tea under a cozy blanket, indulging in shows like “Emily in Paris” or classics like “Mean Girls,” long walks in nature, doing her yoga in the sun, cooking delightful meals, and engaging in heartfelt conversations with her partner and connecting with her family over video calls. Maren Kristensen is not just a mental health professional; she is a beacon of hope and transformation for women everywhere, dedicated to making mental wellness an attainable and celebrated part of life. • Noura Lutyk, Health and Wellness Coach, Senior Level Executive Contributor at Brainz Magazine

From childhood, I suffered from Eczema, a condition that persisted well into adulthood. Alongside this, my early 20s were marked by a series of gut-related symptoms, extreme fatigue, exhaustion, poor eyesight, sugar cravings, joint pain, inflammation, and debilitating seasonal allergies. Despite these struggles, it wasn't until the birth of my second child, who experienced severe Eczema and food sensitivities from birth, that I truly began to explore the gut-skin connection. His suffering was the turning point, igniting my journey into gut health as I searched for ways to help him heal from the inside out.   After successfully addressing my son's Eczema through gut health interventions, I realized the power of this approach and decided to pursue further education in holistic health. I enrolled in a certification program to become a Certified Holistic Practitioner, equipping myself with the tools and knowledge to help others on similar journeys. Just before I graduated, my youngest son also developed severe Eczema and food sensitivities. Applying the same gut-centered strategies, we were able to clear 90% of his symptoms within three months, and he was completely Eczema-free in under six months.   Since then, I’ve taken further certifications in gut health and the human microbiome to deepen my understanding. Today, I have successfully reversed my chronic gut and skin conditions that I have had for most of my life.   I now work with women and children to help them restore balance in their gut microbiome, addressing a range of issues from skin conditions like Eczema to hormonal imbalances and digestive issues. By focusing on the root cause and healing the gut, I help clients reverse damage, improve their quality of life, and regain control over their health.
