- Andrea Yearsley, Creative Leadership Coach, Senior Level Executive Contributor at Brainz Magazine
From the outside, Andrea Yearsley appeared to be super successful in the Creative Industry, but she was a mess behind the scenes. She worked all hours to meet every demand, drinking half a bottle of wine each night to lull herself to sleep and wrestling with imposter syndrome. The fear that someone younger and more talented might swoop in to snatch her place at work consumed her. She had no real social life, had lost touch with old friends, and felt like she was on a relentless roundabout that she couldn't get off. A session with a therapist revealed the not-so-shocking truth: She had control issues (who would’ve guessed?). That revelation ignited a profound journey of self-discovery and growth, during which Andrea trained as a certified women’s coach and clinical hypnotherapist. So, how did she arrive at this moment? Well, she kicked off her career as a circus dancer (yes, really) before diving headfirst into the vibrant world of West End theatres. By age 24, she was a stage manager at the iconic Sydney Opera House, where a visionary director recognised her potential and nudged her toward directing. Her journey took a thrilling turn when she transitioned into television. Starting as an undercover journalist, she quickly progressed to directing. Her work was recognised with a BAFTA for her first film, which solidified her reputation in the industry. She quickly scaled the ranks to become a Series Producer, showcasing her ability to navigate and excel in high-pressure environments. Andrea is passionate about reshaping the creative industry into a more supportive, inclusive, and people-focused environment. She refuses to let female voices fade into the background or watch talented women abandon careers they love due to burnout. So, how does she work? Together with her clients, she develops transformative strategies that enable them to lead confidently and clearly, ensuring they can steer their organisations toward ambitious goals without compromising their personal well-being or that of their team. With 25 years of diverse production experience, Andrea specialises in crafting bespoke coaching solutions that deliver measurable results. Her clients have successfully enhanced team engagement, fostered innovative cultures, and achieved remarkable growth while reclaiming their passion for creativity. - Luisa Hogan, Leadership Resilience Strategist, Founder & CEO, Executive Contributor at Brainz Magazine
Luisa Hogan is a Leadership Resilience Strategist and the Founder and CEO of Vermelho Consulting, a boutique firm built around one belief: resilience is a daily practice, not a survival tactic, and a leader doesn't have to pretend to be strong under pressure to be a great one. Luisa's path here wasn't theoretical. Years ago, she stepped into a CEO role at a failing organisation, determined to turn it around. Despite months of effort, belief, and real signs of progress, the board ultimately decided to close the business. Everyone, including Luisa, lost their jobs. Her team nominated her for a leadership award anyway. That experience permanently changed how she sees leadership, and it became the reason Vermelho Consulting exists: to help leaders find steadiness in the moments that test them most. Over her career, Luisa has held multiple C-suite roles, led teams of over 300 people, and managed multi-million dollar budgets. She has built two award-winning businesses and spoken at more than 200 events on leadership, resilience, and change. She holds an MBA, a Bachelor of Arts in Education, a Specialised Certificate in Positive Psychology, a Change Management Professional Certification, and Certified Resilience Practitioner training. What sets Luisa apart is her focus on self-awareness under pressure, the specific, learnable skill that lets a leader stay clear-headed when everything around them is shifting. She works from a simple multiplier effect: help one leader become steady, and that steadiness moves through their entire team. Through Vermelho Consulting, Luisa is building more than a consultancy; she's building a hub for a different standard of leadership, one where calm, clarity, and self-awareness without masking replace the old model of leading through sheer endurance. - Stephanie Neuman, Trauma Therapist, Executive Contributor at Brainz Magazine
From Crime Fighter to Life Changer, we would like to welcome Stephanie Neuman, LCSW to Brainz Magazine. Stephanie started her professional career in law enforcement as a detention officer. She then moved onto becoming a patrol officer and then a patrol sergeant. Stephanie found her calling as a Mental Health Trauma Therapist and specializes in working with First Responders. By navigating her own trauma as a police officer, Stephanie found the importance of seeking out effective therapy and eventually gained her Master’s degree in Social Work in 2011. After thirteen years of seeing clients and working through their trauma, Stephanie now sees that every experience in her life has determined what her brain and body held onto as trauma. In 2006, after eight weeks on as a patrol officer, Stephanie was involved in an officer involved shooting with her Field Training Officer. In that moment, the Chief of police ordered Stephanie into therapy. This order would forever change her path in law enforcement. During that therapy Stephanie was introduced to a therapy called Eye Movement Desensification and Reprocessing (EMDR). She continued therapy throughout her career and utilized this effective therapy when she had her first hostage negotiation happen. Like the beginning of Stephanie’s career, this negotiation was anything but normal. More often than not, hostage negotiators find themselves in a small room with their colleagues negotiating with the “bad guy” over the phone. This negotiation was in-person with the “bad guy” standing about ten feet in front of Stephanie, holding a gun to his head. With the best skills she had, Stephanie attempted to negotiate the gun away from the “bad guy”. Unfortunately, nothing Stephanie said or did could change the motivation this person had to kill himself. After 42 long minutes she watched as her first negotiation went the worse way possible. When the sound of gun fire was done ringing in her ears, Stephanie realized she was in shock and immediately called her therapist. Six months later, Stephanie enrolled into a graduate program for a Master’s of Social Work when she realized other officers at that scene hadn’t gotten therapy. While Stephanie had been going to therapy throughout her entire career, she was reminded by her good co-worker that therapy wasn’t the standard practice for cops and she was motivated to do something about that. Now, Stephanie owns her own private practice and works to educate and reinforce the need for mental health care in all first responders and frankly all humans. Stephanie specializes in using Brainspotting with her clients and explains to them the simple practice of looking at a specific spot can change the way your brain works. Stephanie is on a mission to change the world and is passionate about helping others understand their experiences as a First Responder. When Stephanie isn’t changing lives, she is a wife and a mom. Stephanie and her husband, Casey live in Wyoming where they enjoy time in the mountains with their son, Thor. Thor keeps them busy while they ride four-wheelers, fish and enjoy all the Wyoming outdoors have to offer. DO I QUALIFY? Stephanie Neuman Trauma Therapist From Crime Fighter to Life Changer, we would like to welcome Stephanie Neuman, LCSW to Brainz Magazine. - Roxy Hops , Resilience Coach & Mental Health Advocate, Executive Contributor at Brainz Magazine
Roxy Hops is an internationally recognized resilience and fulfillment coach, speaker, author, and mental health advocate whose work bridges neuroscience, mindfulness, and trauma-informed psychology to help individuals and communities turn adversity into agency. After years of high performance in the corporate and personal-growth industries – including her work with Mindvalley and collaborations with leading experts in human transformation – Roxy’s life took a dramatic turn. Displacement during the Russia-Ukraine war, a painful divorce, and the tragic loss of her little sister to suicide became the catalyst for her rebirth and mission. Rather than breaking her, these experiences ignited a vision: to make emotional resilience a cultural foundation, not a crisis response. Through her coaching and educational initiatives, Roxy helps founders and changemakers rise from burnout and emotional collapse into clarity, purpose, and soul-aligned leadership. Her methodology combines evidence-based neuroscience with deep emotional work, creating a powerful framework that bridges brain science with soul – empowering others to rebuild from the inside out. As the founder of transformational coaching programs, she guides individuals through their most challenging moments, helping them emerge with renewed clarity, purpose, and actionable steps for lasting transformation. Her work has inspired entrepreneurs, leaders, and visionaries worldwide to redefine success on their own terms – with clarity, calm, and authentic fulfillment.
