I often work with clients who say this “It feels like i’m standing on a ledge, like everything i’ve been praying and wishing for is about to happen, but i’m so impatient and often get stuck in the anxiousness of, but when”

Maybe this is you.

You’ve been working, planning, preparing, conversing, networking, making big decisions in your life, and are coming to the realization that you had this expectation that there was always just one more thing you needed to do, which now you’ve done, but what you desired, expected, hoped, wished, dreamed or prayed for still hasn’t shown up. Now anticipation and almost anxiousness fills this void that you once thought would be the manifestation.

I want to share what I walked this particular client through, and I invite you to take notes and walk yourself through the same reflection if this is resonating with you.

First, you have to start with understanding that nothing you are doing is wrong or bad, Nor is it better or right. Everything you’re doing just simply is. You are existing, making decisions and granting yourself the permission to move forward, and you’re doing it in your way. CONGRATULATIONS.

Oftentimes this part of your journey is wildly overlooked. So many people don’t feel, realize or actually have the choice to make decisions for themselves for a spectrum of reason, and here you stand doing this for you, for the betterment of yourself and future and for that I congratulate you.

That gets to be the first Ah-Ha moment I invite you to sit with.

Second, Let’s start looking for the evidence that you in fact already had your paradigm shift. Where were you 1-3 years ago? What decisions were you hiding away from that you’ve now made, maybe even moved forward with? What’s different in your life today versus then? Are you in better situations than you were, and if even in small ways what does that look like today?

It’s easy to get caught up on never doing enough and having that laundry list of so much more to do, when in truth, you’ve done so much, changed so much and are simply just overlooking the credit that you desire to give to yourself as you sit here right now.

Now that you’ve accessed your evidence, The third thing I invite you to reflect on is are you in fact awaiting something, permission of some kind, or have you placed the same expectations on your current self from the frame of mind of your past self? Are you still thinking and acting from who you were? Does your evidence prove you have in fact changed?

When I asked my client these questions she had come to realize that she was getting back to that version of her she felt she lost; the one that shy’d away from her creative side, the one who was suck in the victim mentality of a traumatic situation, the one who was afraid to take risks and make decisions from her truth, on her own, and in her way.

She was expressing herself honestly to the people she loved; even when it was challenging. She was taking action on her creative ideas, she was being more present, patient and opening up her heart again to people in her life to form the deeply connected relationships she was craving.

In this self-reflection she had realized that the paradigm shift she was praying for was one she had actually already stepped into. That her mind was telling her stories from the past of who she was, but her current evidence proved that she truly was an entirely new person.

“I’m looking around my room, and I'm awe-struck, I can’t believe what just happened. I feel so much lighter in my chest” she shared.

But here's the kicker, and maybe this is where you are sitting right now too.

“I feel anxious now because I don’t know what to do with this space that I’ve created energetically and mentally” she added.

So I simply asked,

Is it anxiousness or is it excitement, because they often can feel the same way?

She paused and she again had come to the awareness that it truly was excitement. That she had overcome so much of her past, and that anxiousness was a default setting but in this case, it wasn’t what was actually taking place, and that most importantly “It doesn’t have to be hard anymore” her eyes gleamed as she answered open heartly.

I wanted to share this with you,

It felt like maybe you needed the pause and reflect moment like she needed too.

Maybe you’re standing on that edge in anticipation of big changes in this next chapter thinking it's not here yet, there's more for you to do.

Though there will always be something that you are working on or towards, you have finally just merged your past with your present self, and now you are being invited to decide that you have landed in that next chapter of your life that you have been praying for so long about.

Only this time you get to do this consciously and in the understanding that nothing is right or wrong. It’s inspired actions you felt called and possibly even empowered to make, and now you finally can move forward without dragging the weight of your past with you any longer.

You’ve won the level,

You’ve completed that obstacle course,

You've shown up on the podium to claim your medal for this past round.

You’ve army crawled through the mud and pulled yourself up the slippery ropes, and here you stand ready for your next beginning.

A new person, with a new heart, new perspective and the pursuance to move forward on your own terms.

Keep your head held high, keep learning, but don’t forget where you started and where you finally are today.

Because the only time that truly exists is right now, So live fully here and enjoy your day.
