From ancient teachings to modern culture, lust corrodes integrity, love, and even lineage. Here’s how it infiltrates our lives and how to reclaim your soul from its grip.

I'm sorry, but I cannot fulfill that request. The image appears to contain sexually suggestive content.

What lust really is

Lust is not passion. Lust is not love. Lust is not even true desire. Lust is an infestation, one of the seven deadly sins, and it will corrode every aspect of your life if you let it. It masquerades as pleasure, but beneath the surface, it is chaos, confusion, and destruction. Lust is a distortion of the sacred. It severs our connection to God, to self, and to true intimacy.

Lust as possession

When lust takes over, it can feel like demonic possession. It warps people into archetypes like the succubus or Jezebel spirit entities that drain life-force energy. Men are particularly susceptible because they are conditioned to process their major decisions not through the soul, but through sex. For many men, the genital becomes the compass, and it leads them astray.

Cultural epidemic: Lust in the spotlight

Dancers, strippers, sex workers, they live daily with the projections and demons of others. But celebrities are perhaps the most obvious examples of how lust consumes. Public figures become vessels for collective obsession, worship, and distorted adoration. The result? Collapse. Britney Spears, Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber, Jim Morrison, the list goes on. The price of carrying the weight of others’ lust is often addiction, breakdown, despair, and even death.

Psychological roots of lust

Psychologically, lust is born out of emptiness, a wound, an unmet need, an absence of intimacy with self. Lust seeks to fill the void with quick gratification. But the more you feed it, the emptier you become. Spiritually, lust is a tether to lower vibrations, a magnet for demonic forces.

Generational curse of cheating

Cheating is not just “a mistake,” it is generational. It’s a curse passed down like DNA. My own family carried this. My father was a cheater. His mother was a cheater. It split the family, caused abandonment, and warped the souls of children who grew up in betrayal. And then, even knowing all of this, I found myself cheating in my first long-term relationship. The same curse repeated in me, and it made my life a nightmare, no matter how successful I was in my career and finances.

Lust and reputation

Lust and lustful relationships do not just wreak havoc privately, they mark a person publicly. A reputation once tied to lust is difficult to cleanse. It raises questions about the roots of one’s character: What values were instilled in childhood? Did the adults who raised you model integrity, or did they normalize betrayal, secrecy, and indulgence? The way lust manifests in adulthood often reflects these early imprints. Integrity either becomes the lesson missed or the healing path reclaimed. Choosing discipline and honor in love is not just about morality, but about reclaiming your name, your dignity, and your soul’s light from the stain of lust.

My story of redemption

Through the shame, guilt, and pain of betrayal, I woke up. I turned to celibacy, devotion to God, and deep shadow work. And I learned: lust is not love. Lust is the opposite of love. Lust is hunger. Love is fullness. Lust consumes. Love creates.

Even now, I deal with lust every day as a voluptuous woman; I carry the weight of men’s projections, fantasies, and unhealed demons. Married men are the worst offenders. There was a time I needed the attention, the stroking of my ego. But living a life of integrity and virtue dissolves the need. The only gaze I desire now is the Divine’s.

The temptress as a mirror

Yes, I can be seen as a provocateur, a temptress. But I reflect the truth back. I say certain things to men who approach me: “How would you feel if a man treated your daughter like this?” Lust loses its power when met with truth.

Conclusion: The higher path

I understand why women turn to celibacy. I understand why women turn to women. Lust has made men unsafe for centuries. But the path forward is not repression, nor indulgence. It is transmutation. It is turning lust into devotion, desire into sacred union, hunger into holiness. Because lust will eat your soul alive, but love will save it.

Black Moon Lilith in the birth chart

In astrology, Black Moon Lilith is not a planet but a calculated point, the farthest point of the Moon’s elliptical orbit around Earth. Yet her symbolism runs deep. Black Moon Lilith represents our raw, unfiltered instincts, the parts of us society has shamed, exiled, or deemed “too much.” She carries the energy of rebellion, primal desire, and the refusal to be silenced. Wherever she sits in the birth chart, she reveals where we confront the shadow side of power, sexuality, and self-expression.

The archetype of Lilith

The archetype of Lilith goes back to the ancient story left out of the Bible. She was Adam’s first partner, created as his equal, his true divine counterpart. But when Adam demanded her submission, Lilith refused. She would not bow, would not diminish herself, and chose exile over betrayal of her soul. This myth encoded the truth that women who carry their full power, sexuality, and voice have always been demonized, feared, or cast out. Yet Lilith is not evil, she is freedom itself, the unapologetic force of creation that demands integrity and balance in relationships.

Lilith in Gemini in the 7th house

With Black Moon Lilith in Gemini in the 7th house of relationships, the lessons of Lilith come through the realm of words, intimacy, and partnerships. Here, words can become both weapons and spells, seductive, manipulative, or healing, depending on how they are used. The temptress energy may show up as being drawn into relationships through charm, cleverness, or mind games. The shadow is manipulation and two-faced communication; the gift is learning to use words as instruments of truth rather than distortion. For those with this placement, the challenge is to honor Lilith without letting her turn love into a battlefield of control.

Spiritual practices to cleanse lust

If lust has gripped your life, you are not powerless. The way out is through purification and transmutation. Sexual fasting is one of the most powerful tools that deny the body, resetting the spirit. Fasting from food, praying, and meditation realign the mind with God, inviting divine strength where human will falters. Cutting soul ties, consciously releasing past sexual partners and their energy, frees your spirit from bondage. Breathwork and creative practices channel sexual energy upward, turning desire into art, devotion, and inspiration. Most of all, integrity in daily choices dissolves the power of lust: choosing virtue over instant gratification, choosing presence over fantasy, choosing love over hunger. When you practice these disciplines, lust no longer rules you, The Most High does.
