Mónica Andrade, Spiritual Counselor & Energy Healer

Introduce yourself! Please tell us about yourself and your life, so we can get to know you better.

My life is very much rooted in nourishing my connection to Nature. I am someone who needs a lot of time outdoors to recharge and receive inspiration from the Earth. I also have a profound connection to animals, which I cherish so much. Listening to the birds´ songs at dawn during my morning meditation is a sacred ritual for me. I have a doggie and a kitty, and they are my two guardian angels. I can communicate with them at a soul level, and they hold me in my most challenging moments.

Music is one of my greatest passions and something I enjoy practicing during my free time to uplift my spirit. I also have a deep devotion to the Ocean because being near the water brings me great joy and healing, so I feel very committed to protecting the Seas.

What inspired you to create Happy Tree Wisdom?

HappyTree was born with the intention of stewarding wisdom that can bring true, lasting healing and freedom to our human family and the Earth at this crucial time we are living in.

It was the answer to an urgent call to return to our origins, reconnect with our ancestral roots, and protect the true essence of life, that which can bring back meaning and purpose to our hectic modern world.

HappyTree is a portal where I blend everything I learned in the healing arts field and offer it for our collective healing. Building a spiritual community so we could rely on one another and be held accountable for our own choices and ways of walking life was also a great motto.

How do your offerings help people reconnect with themselves?

My mission is to hold space for people to reconnect with the wisdom inside their Hearts. Nowadays, we are constantly living from our heads; we spend most of our time inside our minds, and we can get pretty lost there.

We have somehow disconnected from the depth of the human Heart; most people have forgotten this inner compass we all have inside, which can guide us on the journey to self-realization.

I believe awakening to the wisdom of the Heart and following the path of true unconditional Love for ourselves is the only thing that can save us and bring us closer to a more harmonious and peaceful world.

What personal values shape the work you do?

I rely on my integrity. Every offering I put out there undergoes a thorough soul check, as I like to call it, where I make sure it will be of great benefit to all who join. I refuse to do business without radical honesty and transparency with my clients about the true meaning and purpose of the service they are receiving. The principle of reciprocity is equally important to me, for there needs to be a healthy balance between the energy given and the energy received. I sincerely respect the path of everyone who comes to me in search of help or guidance, and I am committed to showing up in the best way I can. Cultivating kindness and compassion in our learning process together is also of great importance, as we acknowledge that we are always mirroring each other and that this reflection is there to help us grow and evolve along the path.

Can you share a success story from one of your clients?

A woman who recently attended one of my retreats shared with me in subsequent Counseling sessions that she had a profound realization, which is helping her heal a deep ancestral wound in her lineage. She is now able to consciously choose not to repeat the same old story of neglect, rejection, and abandonment she suffered from her mother in her relationship with her daughter. It has been so beautiful and heart-melting to hear from her how, after the retreat, she could see her daughter with totally different eyes and enjoy simple moments of motherhood she had no appreciation for before. Her relationship with her daughter will now be a legacy of a much healthier and loving motherhood in her family lineage. Her experience testifies to the power of transformation we all have within us to heal our own lives and the lives of those we love.

What makes your approach unique compared to others in your field?

My work is truthful and genuine because the knowledge I share is born from my own life experience. It is from constantly facing my own deepest shadows and fears that I can courageously guide others to do the same. As one of my teachers would say, I walk my talk, and my living example is my most reliable credential. My life testimony helps me earn trust in my Community and allows me to stand with self-confidence in what I have to offer to the world. I also draw on a wide range of expertise in different areas, including Yoga, Meditation, Breathwork, and Sound Healing on the one hand, as well as Shamanic wisdom to heal ancestral wounds and intergenerational trauma, supported by psychotherapy training. This broad, holistic background enables me to provide a wide range of tools and high-quality support to my clients, tailored to their specific needs.

Tell us about a pivotal moment in your life that brought you to where you are today.

Right before the pandemic hit, my Life fell suddenly apart. A long-term relationship in which I was investing my hope for the future abruptly ended; I faced a lot of neglect and abandonment from my own family and had to deal with an autoimmune disease that was causing me so much struggle on my own. During those years, I had to put into practice all the discipline, commitment, and strength I had earned in my spiritual path to push myself through. This very traumatic experience was my dark night of the soul; it took me deep into a quest for Life’s true meaning. I had to build such a strong faith in something greater than myself, and with God´s help, I found the way through. After a lot of inner work, I was able to move on and forgive, setting myself free from the pain and suffering caused by those I loved and cherished the most. Today, I feel I owe who I am to that experience of loss and grief, although at that time, it felt like a lot to overcome.

What is one piece of wisdom you wish everyone knew?

I wish everyone knew that our challenges and obstacles in Life are only there to set us free. Our problems can become our wise teachers if we allow the lessons they bring into our lives, instead of just trying to fix them. It is by welcoming our most challenging experiences and being willing to learn from them that we can transcend and evolve. We tend to run away from our fears, and so they continuously chase after us, for it is only when we dare to face and embrace that which scares us the most that we can finally be free. I wish everyone knew that it is possible to move beyond those challenges and difficulties and that there is always a much more vibrant way of living awaiting them.
