Suzanne ‘Suz’ Alexandra, a remarkable artist and resilient survivor, has embarked on a profound journey of discovering the transformative potential of art. In 2013, Suz’s life took an unexpected turn when she was diagnosed with two brain aneurysms, leading to two intense surgeries. It was during this period that Suz’s personal healing journey began to unfold, revealing the immense power of her work. Today, Suz creates captivating soul prints on canvas, capturing the essence of individuals from all corners of the country. In an enlightening interview, Chloe Redmond, the Founder of Vino Vaquera Consulting, delves into Suz’s teachings and the array of offerings at Soul Prints.

Beautiful painting of a woman

Hello Suz! I feel blessed to share your story and passion with the publication and its audience! When you are ready, please describe to us the early years of Suz the artist! How did Soul Prints come to be?

Hi! I am Suz Alexandra.

The owner and Artist of Soul Prints. Soul Prints came to me through Divine Inspiration.

Back in 2011, I wanted to see what energy and intention looked like on canvas. Through colors. Through paint. That is where it began. From there it evolved. This process can heal, impact, change, and affirm how you see yourself. Your Power, your light, your beauty. Your unique gifts to the world and those around you. The Imprint becomes your mirror. Your reflection. Your reminder.

We hear that there is a deep level of mindfulness and even a bit of meditation that goes into your work. Can you take us on a bit of a journey into the creative process?

Yes of course. This is a complete Co-Creation. We start with a "Discovery Call". This is where I feel into my client. What do they want? What do they need? What is the Space (the background) that holds you?

I paint all my backgrounds with my bare hands only. I want to feel the canvas and paint, and brushes feel like a disconnect. The background is about the colors and specifically the feeling. Sunshine. Stormy winter skies. Deep calm ocean. And so on. It is a Sacred Space. There are no rules and no limits. I paint in quiet and listen to my intuition, God, and the Universe. And when it is done, I just know. I trust. You then choose the colors of your Soul. And I paint your body. The Process is between you, me, and whatever you call God.

I create a safe space of presence, love, and trust.

And I ask you, my client, to be fully present, open, and allow whatever comes up, to just be.

I then press you gently into the canvas, transferring the paint to create the Imprint.

We did a deep dive into all of your incredible testimonials and it seems that every experience is so moving and even life-changing. What do you feel is the ultimate takeaway from the client experience?

It is many different things to many different people. You are the muse, the artist, and the art. The Process and the Imprint are Empowering. They can change how you walk through life if you allow it.

Capture moments in time. Love between parent and child. Lovers, family, and friends, anything is possible. I have even imprinted dogs. And once, a horse.

Once I apply the paint, I have no control over what will show up. I let go and trust, and there are always lessons. I call them gifts, and miracles.

You are a passionate soul and am in awe of your drive. Who or what inspires you to create Suz?

It's not a " who" that inspires me unless you are out there spreading love. When I paint I am connected to the Universe. I am full. I am of service. I am giving. I am healing. I make a difference. I am giving my gift.

As a proud Soulpreneur, what is a piece of advice that you could share with others on their current business adventures?

Burn the boats, the bridge, the excuses for not doing what your soul calls you to do!

Follow your heart. Always follow your heart.

Be curious, for curiosity has no room for judgment and keeps your heart open.

And lead with love. Always lead with love.

Tell us about your painting live event experiences. That has to be incredibly captivating for all involved!

They are exhilarating, exciting, fun, and terrifying all at once. Again, I have to relinquish all control and trust the process. Trust me, and I do. There can be one person or 100 people, but to me, there's only you, me, and God.

And of course, the audience Loves it!! It is messy, colorful, and exuberant!! What's not to love about that!! I love live events! They expand me and challenge me.

What are your goals for Soul Prints?

The goal is to touch as many hearts and souls as possible. That no one feels invisible and everyone knows they are more than enough.

I can't teach you how to fly, but I can show you that you have wings. That truly is my gift.
