What inspired you to create “Food as Medicine: Become Your Own Healer,” and how does it empower individuals?

My talk, “Food as Medicine: Become Your Own Healer,” educates audiences on the powerful connection between inflammation, illness, and how we eat an area that remains largely overlooked in the United States, yet has resonated with a growing global audience. My mission is to raise awareness around how food can be used as a tool to heal the body.

Growing up in a Filipino-American family, diabetes, high blood pressure, and obesity were normalized. In 2018, my father passed from heart disease, and in 2021, I lost both my mother and sister to diabetes all diet-related conditions.

These same learned eating habits led me to develop severe sciatica at age 30, to the point where I could not stand or walk. Just a week earlier, I had met Master Wang, a Chinese-Tibetan medicine healer, who later invited me into a work exchange. Through that experience, I was introduced to my first plant-based detox.

Within two weeks, I released a lot of undigested food from my gut and my symptoms resolved showing how quickly the body can heal given the right conditions.

Eighteen years later, my sciatica has never returned, and I have remained free of chronic illness, using my lifestyle as a form of prevention.

This experience revealed to me the power of ancient healing wisdom specifically, how plant-based nutrition reduces inflammation and supports the body’s natural ability to regenerate. Today, I empower individuals to become more intentional about what they eat and to view their kitchen as their primary place of healing.

How does your program “Self-Care Blueprint” guide clients toward self-healing, and what makes your method uniquely effective?

My lifestyle medicine program, “Self-Care Blueprint: Become Your Own Healer,” is not a one-size-fits-all approach. It is a fully customized, holistic system rooted in an anti- inflammatory, lifestyle medicine approach that promotes longevity and allows the body to heal from within over time.

At the core is my 4-Step Path to Wellness, which includes a personalized plant-based detox, meditation, movement, and meaningful community connection similar to principles observed in longevity regions such as the Blue Zones.

This integrated approach addresses the root cause of inflammation rather than simply managing symptoms, which is why it delivers lasting results.

What key transformations have you witnessed in your clients?

I’ve consistently helped clients aged 30+ achieve improvements in gut health and inflammation-related issues within weeks of implementing my program. Clients report better digestion, energy levels, skin clarity, mental focus, sleep quality, and weight loss.

Over a longer period, many experience significant reductions in inflammation, leading to improvements in chronic conditions such as IBS, overactive bladder, asthma, colitis, diabetes, high blood pressure, and even autoimmune-related symptoms within months.

Beyond physical health, the transformation extends to overall quality of life. Clients are able to perform at higher levels, travel more freely, and show up more fully in their personal and professional lives. In many cases, these changes ripple into their families, improving household nutrition and reducing long-term risk for chronic disease.

What challenges do individuals face in their healing journey, and how do you help them overcome them?

The first and most critical barrier is mindset. Acknowledging that there is a health issue is the first step toward transformation.

I focus heavily on education to help individuals recognize the societal and behavioral patterns that keep them stuck in cycles of poor health. Accountability is essential—no one can do the work for you.

From there, I guide clients through simple, sustainable lifestyle shifts that compound over time. This is not a quick fix, but a long-term transformation rooted in daily habits that address the root cause.

Because behavior change can be challenging, I provide consistent support, accountability, and encouragement guiding clients through a deeply transformative process rooted in regenerative health.

What sets you apart as an Anti-Inflammation Lifestyle Medicine expert?

Many individuals today are operating in a state of toxin overload while simultaneously managing high levels of stress.

My root-cause, anti-inflammatory lifestyle medicine approach begins with restoring gut health, as the gut directly influences mood, energy, focus, sleep, and immune function.

This approach aligns with growing research in lifestyle medicine showing that nutrition, stress regulation, movement, and social connection directly influence inflammation pathways, gut health, and long-term disease risk.

My proven method is designed to deeply support gut restoration, allowing the body to reset and return to balance naturally. My approach is gentle, safe, and effective, focusing on activating the body’s innate healing intelligence through plant-based nutrition and natural lifestyle practices.

How can people find you if they want to work with you?

Most of my clients come to me after trying multiple approaches that didn’t address the root cause.

If you’re a high-performing professional experiencing low energy, digestive issues, brain fog, or early signs of chronic inflammation, and you’re ready to address the root cause, not just manage symptoms this is your next step.

My 8-Week Anti-Inflammation Lifestyle Shift Program is designed for individuals who want a structured, high-touch approach to restoring gut health, increasing energy, and reclaiming long-term vitality using food and lifestyle medicine.

This is not a passive program it requires commitment, accountability, and a willingness to change daily habits.

If you’re ready for that level of transformation, you can apply to work with me through a private 1:1 strategy call.

I only take on a limited number of clients at a time to ensure depth of support and measurable results.
