Have you ever felt like life was squeezing the life out of you? Where you have been so conditioned by others and their expectations of you that you just want to escape to a place far away. Let’s be real, life can hit you so hard you can feel like you need a passport to be you because you have been trained to fit in with everyone else but yourself. How do you get out of this nightmare? How do you speak up in the most loving and compassionate way and still be true to yourself?

Well, it is called the Gift of Allowing! I use a mantra daily that I have on the whiteboard in my office, which says, Allow Me to Be Me. The gift of allowing is staying present to your truth, which allows you to be true to yourself. In doing so, you are embracing the understanding that you will be in different phases on your journey. But, it’s okay for you to be in different phases because we all have different needs and different assignments to fulfill, and share with others.

With that said, you can release the need to control and accept where you are in the present and give others that same grace. In addition, you can intentionally create new actions and interactions. Additionally, you can welcome the beautiful exchange of the energy of others. Lastly, you can allow every day to be new, and new things will greet you, big or small.

Allowing is something I had to learn, but once I learned it, my life changed. My view of myself and my mindset shifted. My compassion for humanity grew stronger.

You may notice by your actions and interactions where healing is needed for yourself and others. Just remember, everyone must commit to their own healing, and it can never be forced, or it will surely backfire. Go ahead and allow yourself to shine; and eventually, everyone around you will shine, or they will drift away from your path enabling you to understand in the most loving and compassionate manner, the gift of allowing.
