The information regurgitator syndrome

Today, we’re amid a collective awakening with an abundance of information on nearly every topic, especially wellness and spirituality. While this can be empowering, it also presents a challenge: the sheer volume and variety of viewpoints can be confusing and even misleading, especially in areas like self-help and healing. Without a grounded sense of self, people may find it difficult to discern what resonates genuinely with their own needs versus what is simply persuasive or popular.

Let’s take the topic of spirituality. For example, in recent years, there’s been a noticeable rise in people seeking answers and healing through gatherings led by spiritual leaders, channelers or in ceremonies involving plant medicine and psychedelics. As individuals search for connection, purpose, and healing, these experiences can yield results for many and offer profound insights and a sense of community.

I recently attended a channeling conference. Channeling is when someone channels a spiritual entity that could be angelic, collective consciousness, or alien. The ideas were thought-provoking and offered multiple perspectives.

This makes it all the more important to approach information with discernment, seeking a foundation of self-awareness and critical thinking to stay aligned with your own truth.

There's also a growing trend of people becoming more reliant on these events; instead of learning to cultivate inner strength and resilience, some may feel like they need these external experiences to feel whole or connected. This dependency can ultimately divert people from their intuitive wisdom, leaving them constantly searching outside themselves for the answers they carry within, therefore acquiring the “Information Regurgitator Syndrome” as they listen, collect, get together to discuss, listen, collect, rinse, and repeat.

What causes the information regurgitator syndrome?

When we're collecting information, the brain is primarily in a state of reception and storage. We’re taking in data, often broadly and passively, activating areas like the hippocampus for memory encoding and parts of the prefrontal cortex for organization; the brain is often in a high-functioning beta wave state. Beta waves are linked to focused attention, logical thinking, and external awareness. In this state, we primarily process information cognitively and superficially, retaining it for recall but not necessarily integrating it deeply.

What does regurgitation have to do with reverse engineering?

The brain engages the prefrontal cortex more intensively when discerning and applying information. This area, crucial for judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving, works to assess the relevance, validity, and application of the information to personal contexts. This shift allows us to move from merely gathering knowledge to transforming it into meaningful, practical insights.

When we’re embodying or deeply applying information, transforming it into a lived experience, the brain shifts toward alpha and theta wave states.

Alpha waves are associated with relaxed focus and internalized attention, often linked to creativity, visualization, and introspection, which help us integrate new concepts in a meaningful way. Theta waves, often seen in deeper states of meditation or immersion, are associated with emotional processing and subconscious change. In these states, information moves from the surface to a more profound, experiential level, allowing us to internalize it and align our thoughts, feelings, and actions accordingly.

Here lies the power of reverse engineering!

What’s the main difference between those who keep going to all these channeling conferences, webinars, and ceremonies that have almost no results in their lives and those who may have been twice and can achieve incredible results?

They are very skillful reverse engineers who are also in touch with their higher self, subconscious, or inner being.

So, what the heck is reverse engineering?

Reverse engineering is used to describe the useful application of self-awareness.

The process lies in your ability to use the feedback that the events, experiences, circumstances, and people provide for you. This process is also applicable after you read a book or article, enroll in a coaching program, go to a ceremony, a channeller, a psychic, a medium, a card reader, or a webinar.

You probably have heard: “Open your heart and receive the information with your heart.” What on earth does that mean?

Opening my heart to change my life, uh?

For practical purposes, I won’t explain the flight or fight response in detail and how your amygdala hijacks your brain. I know a mouthful, right?

If you wish to know more about this automatic pilot, watch my video here.

But what I will do is tell you this: if you are running from a predator, call it bills, partner, relationship issues, fear, or lack of self-worth, etc, you are in fight or flight; therefore, your capacity to learn a new language, learn how to play the piano, or to engage the higher centers of the brain that help you internalizing it and aligning information is very limited.

Alpha and Theta waves, as described before, are associated with emotional processing and subconscious change. In these states, information moves from the surface to a more profound, experiential level, allowing us to internalize it and align our thoughts, feelings, and actions accordingly. When this happens, your body enters a state where your brainwaves and your heartbeat are calmed and synchronized. It's like listening to an orchestra performing a beautiful piece of classical music.

This has been called brain-heart coherence and has to do with the fact that you need to be in a different brain mode to achieve the most, attain the most, and use all your resources to process, understand, apply, and practice the information.

If your brain is constantly engaged in high-functioning beta, which is the absorption of information, you will be eager for tons of new information, and most of it will sound delightful and may even trigger some drive to change, to start a new way to do things, another exercise, routine, etc. But what happens is that this focus outside of you and unto the environment, the external world, and the information can keep you reacting, responding to stimuli, and constantly shifting your attention from one thing to the other because it may make you feel satisfied but always wanting more.

Most people unknowingly live in fight or flight mode for years; they get used to the chemicals released during this state. They get used to the instant gratification of the release of Dopamine, for example, and that high is highly addictive. When you are able to separate yourself from the external and observe it, the environment no longer dominates you, and you can shut off the noise, go within, and listen to your own silence; you can then observe what you have been attracting with an engineer mind you can decode and transmute in your foundational core any behavior and shift your point of attraction.

When you do this, you will rise above the noise and the idea that things are happening to you and see them happening for you. You can then take control of what you are doing and see what you manifest in your world.

What's my inner being or higher self?

The Inner Being, Higher Self, Subconscious (SC), superconscious, or Oversoul refers to a deeper part of the self that holds vast knowledge that is always connected to your true essence in the Quantum level, the Zero point, or collective consciousness. This part of you has access to information beyond what the conscious mind can perceive, and it can be accessed through various methods.

When you get in touch with your Higher Self, you develop a relationship with that deep part of you that acts as a compass, letting you know through your intuition that your actions are aligned with your deepest core as a mind-body-soul being. Your emotions are part of that feedback mechanism that will let you know how hot or cold you are when it comes to being in touch with your true essence.

This feedback mechanism, along with your brain-heart coherence, is pivotal in developing a fine-tuned reverse engineering skill.

A disaster is seen from the quantum perspective: The ultimate reverse engineering

People often ask what happens to people who are in a war, a natural disaster, or an abusive relationship.

When you see things from the quantum level, the level of one, collective consciousness, energy, and vibration, you understand that the universe is a mirror and that sometimes the worst things that happen to people are the things that trigger a profound change in their lives, that often inspire and uplift masses to come together, to change, and to break free from the status quo.

Everything happens for a reason. Most of the time, WE are the reason.

The power of reverse engineering is to take what you need from the constant feedback of your reality and to use it to align you to the deeper perspectives from your Higher Self, your vibratory output, and your personality as you are the creator and the writer of your life.
