London was abuzz with excitement as the 10th Annual Women4Africa Awards took place on Friday, May 10th, and Saturday, May 11th, 2024. This two-day extravaganza, celebrating African women achievers, highlighted the brilliance, influence, and achievements of women across various sectors.

Day 1: Empowerment conference in London

The event kicked off with an Empowerment Conference at the NatWest Conference Centre in Bishopsgate, London. The room was filled with energy as global business leaders such as Caroline Rushingwa, Dr. Jennifer Obaseki, Adeola Onasanya, Vanusa Antonio, Femmy Otukoya, and Lara Oyesanya shared their insights. With experience spanning Europe, Asia, America, and Africa, these thought leaders left the audience inspired and ready for the main event on Day 2.


Day 2: Women4Africa Awards and Gala night at Leonardo Hotel, St. Paul's

The second day featured the highly anticipated Awards and Gala Night at the prestigious Leonardo Hotel in St. Paul's, London. The evening honored ten distinguished awardees and included two surprise recipients, with a special focus on mothers and their unique contributions.

  • Ify Adenuga: Bestselling author and mother of four creative children, including music star Skepta, celebrated by The Guardian (UK).

  • Lara Oyesanya: Mother of four Oxbridge graduates and the only woman on the board of a £5 billion FTSE company in the City of London.

  • Abigail Owuo: Mother of five, including Grime artist Stormzy.

  • Dr. Jennifer Obaseki: Solicitor and MP candidate for Tottenham, North London.

  • Bamidele Farinre: Chartered Scientist with exceptional achievements.
