As a mother, one of the hardest things we have to do is say “No”; I do not mean just saying “ No” to our kids that want an extra snack before bedtime. I mean saying “No” to those around us that want our extra time, energy, and space.

Why is this so hard? I mean it’s simple, right? Just say “No”! Noooooo!

Whew! What a powerful word! With the use of this word comes a great explanation, right?

Ummmmm, WRONG!

I am here to tell you the 1 Reason why NO is a complete sentence!

Are You Ready For This? Get your pens and papers ready!

Here we go. The 1 Reason No is a complete sentence is.

It Just is!

That’s right! That typical saying that we hated to hear our parents say” It is what it is” is so fitting.

Listen, we do not owe anyone an explanation when it comes to saving your time, protecting your peace, and/or enjoying your space!

For some reason, as mothers, we feel like we have to explain to others why we cannot do something.

Maybe we cannot do it because we are exhausted, mentally drained, feeling overwhelmed, need space, or maybe just feeling lost.

Should we have to explain this all the time?

Should we have to give a full explanation for feeling human?

We reserve the right to have peace, practice self-care, and feel at ease without feeling guilt.

We have earned it!

You have earned it!

The next time you are feeling overworked because the people around you are not understanding your needs and continue to ask you to do more and more, turn around and simply reply, “NO.”

The two most important letters you will ever say!
