Skye Baxter, a name synonymous with resilience, strength, and metamorphosis, has emerged as a guiding light for those seeking healing and personal growth. In this exclusive interview, Skye shares her powerful story of transitioning from a tumultuous past to a life of purpose, joy, and gratitude.

From darkness to light

Growing up in a chaotic and abusive environment, Skye endured immense suffering. She faced mental, emotional, physical, and sexual abuse, leaving indelible scars on her soul. Unfortunately, the cycle continued as she found herself in relationships with abusive partners. Overwhelmed by her pain, Skye turned to drugs as an escape.

However, everything changed one fateful day. Overwhelmed by accumulated trauma, Skye experienced a complete mental breakdown. It was during this darkest moment that she was diagnosed with C-PTSD, depression, and severe anxiety disorder. Confronted with the realization that she was becoming what she despised—the very people who had abused her—Skye made a decision: she refused to let her past define her.

Skye embarked on a path of healing that would forever alter the trajectory of her life. Collaborating with a clinical psychologist, she explored various modalities to break the cycle of pain and suffering. Recognizing that true healing necessitated more than talk therapy alone, Skye delved into fitness, nutrition, NLP, hypnotherapy, shadow work, and breathwork. These modalities facilitated profound changes, enabling her to heal at her core.

Driven by her newfound passion for understanding human behaviour and breaking destructive patterns, Skye wholeheartedly embraced her roles as a mother, wife, athlete, and healer. She became an unwavering advocate for her sons, determined to provide them with the love, support, and guidance she never received. Skye's dedication to her family and her pursuit of physical and mental strength led her to the realm of weightlifting, where she discovered a powerful symbol of her resilience.

Heal grow to thrive: Empowering others to break free

Inspired by her own transformative journey, Skye founded Heal Grow Thrive, a business committed to helping others overcome generational trauma and embrace a life of growth and fulfilment. Her vision was clear: she aimed to demonstrate how fitness could serve as a healing modality, devoid of external validation pressures or the need to change for acceptance.

Through Heal Grow Thrive, Skye offers a range of personalized services and resources tailored to individual needs. From intensive 1:1 programs like "Break Free of Generational Trauma" to single sessions addressing emotional regulation, mindset coaching, cutting the cord, and more, Skye provides customized support to guide her clients towards self-discovery and transformation. Free resources, Facebook groups, a podcast, workshops, and upcoming membership opportunities further expand the reach of Heal Grow Thrive.

Championing change in the industry

Skye is a catalyst for change, advocating for greater collaboration between Western practices and holistic modalities to maximize positive outcomes. She emphasizes using the medication as a support system while individuals build new foundations and calls for government and health insurance coverage for holistic practices to increase accessibility. Skye strives to improve the landscape of healing and personal growth.
