What if you were never broken, just buried? In a world that pressures us to perform, perfect, and prove, this article is a soul-deep invitation to remember who you truly are – divinely designed, worthy, and whole. It’s time to shift from self-criticism to self-recognition, from chasing worth to witnessing it. Nothing is missing. You’ve just forgotten what was always within.

“You are not lacking. You are layered. And it’s time to come home to what already exists inside you.” M. Smith
We weren’t born broken.
We were born brilliant—divinely crafted, fearfully and wonderfully made.
But somewhere along the way… we forgot.
Forgot that we are miracles.
Forgot that we are more than titles, labels, and likes.
Forgot that we don’t need to find our worth—we need to remember it.
Why are we so critical of ourselves?
Let’s pause for a moment.
Have you ever:
Looked in the mirror and zeroed in on what you hate instead of what you love?
Scrolled through social media and felt like you’re always two steps behind?
Achieved something meaningful… yet still heard that voice whisper, “not enough”?
You’re not alone.
But here’s what we rarely admit: it’s not because we lack anything.
It’s because we’ve learned to measure ourselves by impossible standards.
We critique what was never meant to be perfect—only purposeful.
The truth most people don’t say out loud
What if I told you…
You don’t need more hustle to be worthy.
You don’t need more achievements to be lovable.
You don’t need to “fix” yourself to be enough.
What you do need is a shift—from self-criticism to self-recognition.
From critical to curious: A sacred shift
We’ve been conditioned to ask ourselves the wrong questions.
“What’s wrong with me?”
“What’s buried under what I’ve been through?”
“Why am I not there yet?”
“What have I learned by being here?”
It’s not about tearing yourself down—it’s about uncovering the parts you silenced to survive.
Because when you begin to see yourself clearly—you stop apologizing for existing.
You are not a puzzle with missing pieces
You are a masterpiece that’s been painted over.
By pain.
By pressure.
By performance.
And now? Now is your moment to reclaim what’s yours.
Let this be a reminder:
You were created by God on purpose, for purpose.
Nothing about you is accidental.
Every breath you take is proof , God doesn’t make mistakes.
Five soul-tending shifts to come back to yourself
Here are five transformational tips—simple, sacred, and powerful:
1. Talk to yourself like someone god loves (because he does)
Would you say to a child what you say to yourself?
No? Then it’s time to rewrite the script.
Begin each morning with a whisper of truth:
“I am already enough. I am deeply loved. I was made with meaning.”
2. Challenge the thought–not your identity
You are not your thoughts.
Your inner critic is often a loud echo of past pain.
Next time doubt creeps in, ask: Is this true? Or is this familiar?
3. Practice soul-seeing, not just self-seeing
Don’t just look at your face—look for your fire.
The you that survived.
The you that created beauty out of chaos.
Look in the mirror and say: “There you are. I’ve missed you.”
4. Use god’s language, not the world’s
This isn’t woo-woo. It’s Word-based.
“You are fearfully and wonderfully made.” —Psalm 139:14
Speak that truth over yourself more than you repeat your flaws.
5. Create quiet space to remember your spark
When we’re always chasing, we forget to listen.
Schedule silence.
Let your soul breathe.
That whisper you hear in stillness? That’s where healing begins.
You are not a project – You’re a miracle
We live in a world obsessed with “becoming”—but maybe you’re not meant to become more.
Maybe you’re meant to come home to what you already are.
The light. The love. The resilience.
It’s been inside you all along.
The goal is not perfection.
It’s connection.
To yourself.
To your God-given design.
To your original spark.
A movement begins: Nothing missing
What if we stopped chasing worth—and started witnessing it?
Let’s stop treating ourselves like something to fix.
Let’s start remembering what God already finished.
This isn’t just a post—it’s a movement. A mirror. A reminder.
Here’s Your Call to Action:
Share a photo, reflection, or affirmation that declares: “I am not missing. I am already whole.”
Use the hashtag: NothingMissing
Tag a friend who needs to hear this truth today
Say it out loud: “I was never broken—just buried. But I’m coming home to me.”

Because this isn’t a phase—it’s a reclamation.
And your healing? It starts with one bold decision:
To see yourself through God’s eyes, not the world’s lies.
Final reflection
We are not looking to become someone new.
We are remembering someone real.
The you before the world told you to shrink.
The you before burnout and heartbreak.
The you God smiled upon and said: “This is good.”
That you? She’s still here.
Not lacking.
Just layered.
Ready to rise.
