Just a second ago we were graduating our second son @lucasiiortega from high school and we were getting ready for a crazy summer with everyone flying in a different direction to live the experience of a senior trip with an amazing group of friends, our oldest one going to train 🏈 with his mentor Coach Latt (he never has vacation)and our youngest one going away to @ucla_tft for a pre-college film course. Today I’m on a countdown for the days I have left with my middle son at home before flying off to begin a fantastic experience as a college athlete.

It was indeed a crazy summer, with road trips, flights to several u known places and mostly all with a purpose for our sons to fulfill their goals, follow their dreams and some my needed rest with our 🇪🇸 family and a quick escapade with my dear daddy, sister and friends from 🇵🇷 in Madrid.

What happened? Everything happens in the blink of an eye! Today it all seems like a dream left with sparks of memories of what stays with us during these special moments.

Life is a beautiful journey filled with precious moments and experiences. It often feels like time flies by, leaving us wondering where all the years have gone. I want to explore the concept of how life happens in the blink of an eye and discuss ways to embrace the present.

1. Time's fleeting nature

To truly understand how life happens in the blink of an eye, we must acknowledge the fleeting nature of time. It slips away effortlessly, exposing the importance of living in the present moment and making the most of what we have.

2. Embrace the present

a) Practice Mindfulness: Engaging in mindfulness activities helps us become fully present in our daily lives. By focusing on the present moment, we can appreciate life's small joys and find greater fulfillment.

b) Gratitude and Reflection: Taking the time to reflect on our experiences and express gratitude for the present helps us develop a positive outlook. It allows us to savor each moment, fostering a deeper understanding of the significance that every moment holds.

3. Cherishing relationships

a) Quality Time: Make an effort to spend quality time with loved ones. Engage in meaningful conversations, create memories, and strengthen relationships. Sharing experiences together enhances the richness of life and slows down the feeling of time passing quickly.

b) Express Love and Appreciation: Life can change in an instant, so it's vital to express love and appreciation for the people who matter most to us. Small gestures and kind words can have a lasting impact and create cherished memories.

4. Pursue passions and dreams

Time waits for no one, and our dreams and passions may remain unfulfilled if they are not pursued. Make a conscious effort to prioritize your dreams and devote time to activities that bring you joy. By doing so, you make the most of each moment, ensuring a life filled with satisfaction and purpose.

Life is indeed a fleeting journey. Understanding that life happens in the blink of an eye motivates us to embrace the present moment and make the most of the time we have. By practicing gratitude for the opportunities, mindfulness, cherishing relationships, expressing love, and pursuing our passions, we can create a fulfilling and meaningful life story.

Let us all remember to slow down, appreciate the present, and savor the beauty that lies within each passing moment.

To life, to life, l'chaim.

L'chaim, l'chaim, to life. ❤️

I’m very grateful to my sons, my family and my friends that give a meaning and purpose to life!
