Who is Awaz?

I’m Awaz Ahmed, Business Psychologistof and professional & personal certified coach. I am from San Diego, CA, and sometimes across the world, United Arab Emirates. Ironically, my journey in psychology began without any , of actually pursuing such a path, but it was the best path for me. Some things are just meant to happen! I’m passionate about helping individuals, teams, and organizations at a professional and personal level.

What is it that you do for your clients as a business psychologist?

The most important part of my job is creating a relationship with my clients before anything else—trust, safety, and empathy. In order for organizations and individuals to be successful to retain lasting relationships. Using psychological insights, tools, and techniques, I help organizations, teams, and individuals with a range of services and best strategies. I know how to assess what's going on beneath the surface of organizations and individuals.

What is your big goal? Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?

My big goal is to expand my practice and create awareness ofa , the business psychology field. Business psychology is a fast-developing area, which I hope to be able to be a part of. In 10 years, I hope to have my practice expanded, ahead of the field, and have access to more resources and learning from influential people to better assist organizations and individuals. I also hope to write a book to influence or create awareness about my field and be able to teach as a university professor.

Tell me more about your various professional credentials and how you use them in your practice.

I’m a member of the British psychology association, which demonstrates my graduate educational background, an associate certified coach (ACC) by the international coaching federation, certified psychometric assessor for ability and personality (RQTU), certified emotional intelligence coach, NLP practitioner intention and a doctoral student pursuing business psychology further.

With my educational and experienced background, I’m able to passionately help individuals and organizations with their needs.

What are your top 3 tips for an entrepreneur starting a business?

  1. Self-love: mental health is so important. It’s the core of many aspects of our life. When there is self-love, an individual is unstoppable. Make time for yourself, whatever makes you happy—a sport, a massage, a destination or a drink. Make time for your mental health, you're not alone. We all need it!

  2. Confidence: Being successful starts with you! Having confidence creates positivity and positivity leads to success. Don’t let challenges or obstacles make you want to give up—when there’s confidence, there’s success.

  3. Plan: Planning is one of the first steps to a start-up. A plan helps guide and self facilitate—minimizing or eliminating challenges or risks. When there is a plan, there is strategic direction.
