Have you ever found yourself juggling so many things at once? Such as working, running the kids to practice, cooking dinner, doing the laundry, etc. You are literally exhausted, and you have that one person that looks at you and says: “Wow, I do not know how you do it… You are such a supermom.”

How does that make you feel?

Seriously, think about it.

Does it make you fill up with pride? Do you feel happy that someone recognized YOU, your progress and your hard work?

Here is the 1 reason I prefer not to be called “supermom”

Are you ready?

I am HUMAN!

Yes, I said it!

I am a MOM, and I am a HUMAN!

Do not let anyone take away your ability to be HUMAN and have HUMAN feelings. Allowing someone to place you in a category of having supernatural powers is almost like allowing them to place unrealistic expectations on your shoulders.

You have to stop allowing others to volunteer you for certain tasks without any regard for your thoughts, feelings, or time.

Yes, we are mothers! Yes, we are capable of multitasking!

Please note that we also feel tired, overwhelmed, and anxious, and sometimes we just do not plain feel like it.

Guess what? That’s ok!

So next time you get ready to give that mom a compliment…choose your words wisely.

Tell her how amazing she is!

Acknowledge that she has been juggling a lot at one time.

Ask how she is doing and if she needs a break?

Let her know she is truly appreciated.
