George Haralampopoulos, High-Performance Advisor, Coach, Speaker

What is your business name and how do you help your clients?

First, I want to thank you for the opportunity to be interviewed. Your digital publication has a huge global reach, and I appreciate sharing a few highlights about the work I do and the ways in which I serve the world.

The name of my business is One Degree Principle. I help to develop the potential of several types of people: independent consulting professionals/ entrepreneurs, business owners, and people in leadership positions.

My client’s main goal is usually twofold: to take their success to the next level, and to create business/professional realities that allow them the time and energy to do more of what is most important to them in their personal lives. They aim to achieve professional success while still maintaining a work-life balance, however they define that.

My methodology is considered to be unique, as it combines business principles, personal development strategies, and neuroscience. This blended approach helps my clients to achieve progress, build resilience and adaptability, and generate the results they desire. In many cases this happens for them, faster and easier.

My group coaching programs, workshops, keynote presentations, and one-on-one programs are delivered in person and virtually, and they will also be offered online soon.

What would you like to achieve for yourself and your business in the future?

(Laughing) Whenever I attain an important goal or milestone, it seems that I always look to what’s next—toward the next peak of growth and achievement!

Publishing a book, going on a worldwide speaking tour, and delivering a few TED Talks are exciting and compelling goals of mine. As I look forward, I try to remind myself to enjoy the journey—the same thing I encourage my clients to do. When you reach a peak, you always aim for the next one…

What is your work inspired by?

This may sound cliché…

Although I have mentors who have guided me, I’m inspired by my personal and professional aspirations, as well as by my clients’ potential to define what success means for them and to pursue it with courage, purpose, and conviction.

I love learning and am always driven to be at the cutting edge of the knowledge and expertise in my industry. It’s a privilege to earn my clients’ trust and collaborate with them.

I want to be the best I can be for my clients’ benefit whether they are looking to grow their businesses, their teams, or realize their grand vision and aspirations.

Tell us about your greatest career achievement so far.

Although I enjoyed a rewarding and successful 15-year career in corporate America, which I built from the ground up, I will say that my greatest achievement was walking away to start my own professional coaching business.

I took a big leap just before the dawn of the big recession. I was able to make it through this uncertain and challenging time. Today, I have the privilege to collaborate with clients across the spectrum of success and experience across the United States.

More importantly, I was excited to make a difference in my clients’ lives. I have many client success stories and clients who I am proud of. My real-life experience gives a different meaning in my work and in the ways that I impact my clients growth.

Tell us about a pivotal moment in your life that brought you to where you are today.

After moving to the United States to pursue a career, everything that could go wrong went wrong for about five years.

I endured a lack of prospects, a lack of predictable income, unreliable transportation, and a 50-pound weight gain, just to name a few challenges. When I became sick and tired of my complete lack of progress and committed myself to doing the work and controlling my progress and results, good things began to happen.

The personal breakthroughs that helped me to change my business’s and life’s trajectories were the sources of inspiration and purpose I needed to plan my transition to the field of personal and professional development.

I remember telling myself, “If I can do this, anyone can!” This when I discovered my purpose.
