Stella Beeby, Psychic Medium

Introduce yourself! Please tell us about you and your life, so we can get to know you better.

Hi! My name is Stella. I'm an online Psychic Reader and Reiki Practitioner based in Melbourne, Australia. I'm very passionate about spirituality, psychic development, wellness, and helping people. I am incredibly grateful to have turned these passions into a full-time business. I grew up in a Catholic family, so embracing my psychic abilities was quite challenging at times, but it really shaped my spiritual journey and inspired me to guide and support others.

When I'm not working, I love exploring markets and cafes, going on walks, dancing, and practicing yoga. I also love art and creativity, which also helps me with expressing and nurturing my psychic abilities.

Spending quality time with my friends and family is also important to me. The relationship I have with my parents, brother, and my extended family is incredibly strong, and I am very grateful for the support I receive from them. An interesting part of my heritage is that my Pop (Dad's dad) was born in India. I also had the opportunity to go to India for a yoga retreat, which really deepened my psychic practice and broadened my spiritual perspective.

Can you share more about your first psychic experience at the age of 13 and how it shaped your journey?

When I was 13, I went to an all-girl Catholic High School, and my mental health was really bad while I was there. I remember one night, I was in bed crying, I saw what I can best describe as energy in the shape of a human body in the corner of my room. I heard a female voice say, "Stella, you are going to be okay. This will pass, and you are going to do great things with your life." I knew straight away that it was my Nanna, who passed away in 2003. The next day, I did some research, everything I was reading seemed to connect to psychics. A psychic medium a few years later confirmed this experience. He told me that my Nanna showed him an image of me in a bed crying. He said that she was comforting me and telling me everything would be okay – exactly how I experienced it.

This experience was transformative. It provided me with a sense of comfort and support during a difficult time and opened my eyes to the presence of the spirit world. This encounter sparked my curiosity about psychic abilities and spirituality, leading me to explore and develop my own psychic abilities. Knowing that I can offer guidance and comfort to others, like my Nanna did for me, has really inspired my work as a psychic reader and reiki practitioner. This journey has allowed me to continuously grow and deepen my understanding of the spirit world and psychics.

What specific mentorship or training have you received from other professional psychics?

Realising I was psychic was overwhelming at first, it was hard to make sense of the information I was receiving. I started doing psychic readings without proper protection and grounding, leading to physical symptoms like migraines and nausea. Between the ages of 15 to 22, I sought guidance from many professional psychics. They taught me essential practices for psychic protection and grounding techniques, helping me manage my energy and prevent physical and emotional discomfort. I learned to set energetic boundaries, properly prepare for and close down after readings, and stay connected to my own energy without being overwhelmed by others. These psychic mentors helped me strengthen and develop my psychic abilities further, and provided me with a supportive community of experienced practitioners, that I could reach out to for advice and support whenever I needed it.

How do you integrate your background in child care, youth work, and community services into your psychic readings and Reiki sessions?

My background in child care, youth work, and community services has significantly shaped my approach to my psychic readings and Reiki sessions. In child care, I developed sensitivity, patience, and communication skills, which helped me create a nurturing and supportive environment for my clients. These skills ensure clients feel comfortable and at ease during my sessions. Through youth work, I developed interpersonal skills, resilience, and conflict resolution skills, which allow me to connect deeply with young people and offer meaningful guidance tailored to their unique challenges. My experience in community services provided me with compassion, problem-solving skills, and decision-making skills, allowing me to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds and provide personalised advice. Integrating these skills into my practice ensures that my clients feel heard, understood, and supported on their journey.

Can you explain how you tailor your psychic and Reiki sessions to meet the unique needs of each client?

To tailor my psychic and reiki sessions to each client's needs, I invite them to come prepared with specific topics, questions, and intentions. This helps me understand their concerns and goals, allowing me to provide targeted support and guidance. I also connect with my spirit team before each session, asking them to provide me with the information that my An Interview With Stella Beeby Psychic Reader & Reiki Practitioner 2 client needs to receive. This ensures I can provide precise information and healing, tailored to each client's specific situation and meet their needs.

What was it like being mentioned on Mai FM, and how has this exposure impacted your practice?

Being mentioned on Mai FM was an incredible and surreal experience. I had just started my business in February 2020, and in May, I did a reading for someone who worked on the radio station Mai FM in New Zealand. She mentioned me on air, sharing her experience. Shortly after, I found over 400 messages on Instagram from people interested in booking a reading. This exposure significantly expanded my client base in New Zealand and opened up numerous opportunities for my business.

How do you balance your roles as a psychic reader, reiki practitioner, and content creator for your blog and social media?

I structure my day around client appointments, focusing on psychic readings and Reiki sessions in the mornings and afternoons. I use time-blocking on my calendar to dedicate specific hours to different tasks, which helps me stay organised. At night, and sometimes on weekends, I dedicate some time to creating content for my blog and Instagram. This allows me to manage my schedule effectively and prioritise the different areas of my work.

If you could change one thing about your industry, what would it be and why?

If I could change one thing about the psychic and reiki industry, it would be to create a more collaborative approach between practitioners and clients. As a psychic reader, I act as a messenger, channeling information from the spirit world to share with my clients. I believe it’s beneficial to discuss this information together. Often, psychics can come across as assertive and pushy with the information and messages they receive. I think it’s important to create a space where clients feel empowered to share their own thoughts and insights during the session. This collaborative approach ensures that clients can explore their options and make decisions based on their preferences, rather than feeling pressured to follow a specific path. I view future predictions as potential paths or opportunities, not as set-in-stone outcomes. Even if the prediction does unfold, it's always the client's decision whether to move forward with it or not.

What made you decide to work with creatives and small business owners?

Although anyone is welcome to book in with me, I focus my practice on creatives and small business owners due to my interest in their unique journey. When I first started my business, I noticed that I seemed to attract clients who worked in creative jobs or who were business owners. They sought guidance not only for their professional life but also for their personal life. Working with creatives and entrepreneurs is particularly rewarding because their work often involves a blend of passion, innovation, and personal growth. I find that my psychic readings and reiki sessions can provide clarity and support as they navigate the challenges of balancing their creative / business pursuits with their personal growth and wellbeing. By focusing on this niche, I am able to offer more tailored guidance, helping them to achieve both their personal and professional goals.

Tell us about your greatest achievements so far?

One of my most rewarding achievements is receiving messages from clients weeks or months after their reading, with updates on predictions that have actually come true. It's incredibly fulfilling to know I've made a positive impact in their lives, and provided clarity when they needed it most. Another significant achievement has been expanding my business globally, connecting with clients from diverse backgrounds and cultures around the world has been amazing. Also, having the opportunity to work with models, actors, TV personalities etc, has offered unique insights and has enhanced my journey as a psychic reader.
